What makes you say he wasn't?

I don't know if he's right or not about the game, probably not but I'm happy someone gives a random score just to screw up this ridicolous metacritic thing.

Don't be mad. Just buy the game and play. Everyone knows it's the best PS3 game out there.

I don't think it has anything to do with being stingy, more trying to get page clicks through metacritic. He gave the PC version of Brutal Legend a 5 star rating P: Along with fine classics such as Zen Pinball. Perhaps he just has very strange tastes. Also gave Bioshock Infinite 3 stars D: *heart breaks slightly*

And wow, I love that review. Maybe I should read some of the others ones that site has caught shit for. The way he describes that the game becomes a chore to play just to complete the story, the comparisons to Bioshock Infinite, the way "play" is put in quotations, all resonate with me having played Uncharted. And the biggest thing is near the end when he talks about how a survival game is not a survival game if you just replay a section when you die. I am experiencing a treat of a survival game in State of Decay right now and what the review is saying is 100% right. When you have a potential penalty larger than "reload to a checkpoint from 2 minutes ago" it catapults the entire game to a whole new level. I'm going to have a hard time enjoying the linear, planned out gameplay of LoU as much having played SoD.

I am happy to read that the zombies aren't too common in LoU. I agree with the reviewer, on the "silly scale" for zombies, the LoU zombies might be the silliest ever. The survivor vs survivor interactions and gameplay have always seemed far, far superior in the videos I have seen. So I am happy to see there is more of that than the zombies. I feel he kind of gives away the ending though. Oh well, I'll see for myself starting tomorrow.

I read a good chuck of the review and it seems it boils down to the story being so good that playing actual game bogg it down.

Oh no that 6 is now going to make me cancel my order from amazon. No. The 30+ 10s mean a lot more than one 6 every will. So it's not the highest scoring game of this gen according to that site. I will be the best of of this gen for a lot of other people. I will have to play it this weekend to see if it is great. But I have faith it is.
