On a high end gaming PC the sky is the limit for prices so it is hard to spec that out.

XBLive and PS+ do come with free games that offset the paywall price somewhat.

ugh not this again >.>

If this has been done before, do you have a link, because I am curious?

Bro this type of argument was only valid when comparing XBOX360 to PS3. Now that PS4 has pay for online this type of list is useless pay for online is a good thing starting in November of this year.

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

You'd think it would be more comparable if anything but... Ok.

This is not correct. The options included here will notr be mandatory for everyone. How many will use these second screens? Who's to say that everyone who gets ps4 will pay for PS+?

"Dr. Tenma, according to you, lives are equal. That's why I live today. But you must have realised it by now...the only thing people are equal in is death"---Johann Liebert (MONSTER)

"WAR is a racket. It always has been.

It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives"---Maj. Gen. Smedley Butler

This topic was not started as flame bait, but rather to figure out the total cost of ownership for systems which is interesting. It might also be interesting to add in the steambox and a gaming pc when more is known about the steambox.

With a lot of people discussing the price difference between consoles lately, I think the topic is both useful and not an argument that favours any specific console. One does not need to buy all options, a PS4 can be run offline with a single controller for instance.

I think that with all options included this gen of consoles will be a much smaller price gap with gaming PCs than previous gens. For example the alienware X51.

last gen

it was utterly idiotic.

It wasn't idiotic. People only went as far as including the cost of a house, because someone who is homeless obviously cannot play his own home console.

I'm wondering what the production cost is of the consoles.
