sry can't answer all those questions, i don't give my private data to a random like you. why do you want to know so many private stuff about me? do you work for a pr agency, the military or government?

what happened to you so that you want to know all of that from me? which tv channels do you watch or books do you read to be so curious about other peoples privacy?

seems like you are even more interested in my private data as microsoft is.

Are you with a major phone company in the US? How can you accept the government tracking your calls? What do you do that allows this to be okay?

Why do people think the government cares to watch some kids sitting with their bongs and mountain dews using racial slurs over video games?

I'm European, and us European don't and will never accept this kind of things. And you fall in the category I should've added "I'm already monitored, so I don't care" but really it's close to the third option.

i dont think any xbox fan likes drm.but who knows if any company will insist on using it .EA say they wont in a recent interview so maybe it wont be abig problem .drm seems more setup for digital downloads it makes sense then. The xbox fans will buy it for the games .which nobody can deny looked great then theres halo which a lot of people couldnt do without.

I know, if there wasn't any games it would make it obvious. That's why I precised that there was some good games on any console including the Xbox One.

And yet there is this major blowback from people against MS. Why? Not because the console or the games are crap, but once again for the very reasons that makes this all issue, and the point of the topic : what is the mindset of people who accept those Xbone policies ?

Your phone is a way better device for monitoring you. I bet you have it right now. better pull the battery out because even off it can monitor you. It has a microphone, camera, your name, text messages, everyone you ever talked to. Why would you worry about Kinect when you own a smart phone?

Has it ever occurred to just unplug the xbox if your that worried.

Blind fanboysm.

Funny attempt at reverse engineering. Sorry but your "reverse" point is moot. And mostly doesn't answer nor invalidates the questions.

Hmmm... more anti-MS threads. Anything new at VGChartz?

Nope, in the topic I precise than the Xbox One has good games and it's not the issue.

How is Kinect different to my smartphone when it comes to privacy?
I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 (yeah, old by now) and it has a mic, 2 cameras and GPS. It is always online as well. I have emails and text messages on it. Heck even private videos and pictures. And when I say always on, I mean always. I never turn it off. NEVER.

What is the difference between Xbox One and my Laptop? My Laptop has a camera and a Mic as well. It is always connected when I use it and there are privat mails, pictures, videos and well *adult entertainment* on it as well.

You fall in the third category.

And to answer directly : you can use your smartphone and your laptop Offline, turn the camera off, secure your datas, and in most countries it is forbidden to monitor or collect these datas. In fact it was in the US before the Verizon scandal but you don't even seem to know it.

You already gave your privacy not by having your laptop or smartphone online but because in your mind you chose to gave it up. It's your choice, don't force it on other people and certainly don't make it something good or normal when it's not.

The same argument already given above, the same answer needed above.

Do you think maybe instead I could fall under the category of people who read the part where Microsoft says you can power off the Kinect and nothing you do or say will be given out to anyone. It's all just between you and the Kinect? Cause I really think that category is more suiting.

no it's not funny, it's exactly like i said. you want to know from us who we work for, which education we have, which media we watch or read, if we ever had issues with terrorists and so on...

sounds like you are very interested in our private data. for someone who takes the privacy of other people so serious you shouldn't be so curious about our privacy.

i think i never saw someone asking me more about my life in a gaming forum as you did...

Not point in arguing with you because you're obviously a desillusionned f-word (not fuck) when the facts are out there on every news site. You can turn of the Kinect, but to use the service and controller you have to have it on. So everytime you use the Kinect you have to have it on...

You are anonymous on this forum, there's not your real name, location or whatever, and I'm not the government so I can't use any of your information especially on education or opinion that have no use but to know, once again, what is the mindset of people supporting these policies...and I think going by how you answer that you are one of these people.

Cant believe some people are comparing consoles to phones. Dumbest and most ridicilous comparison I've seen.
