yeah i already knew this and dead rising 3 is also a timed exclusive i'm sure of it.

A Microsoft published title coming to the PS4?

Microsoft published titles ended up on PS3, so that would be no surprise.

It happened before with NG. It could happen again, especially if PS4 takes off and Xbone tanks.

Microsoft publisher DR3 doesn't matter, they don't own it, Capcom does. Likely part of a timed exclusive deal, but plenty third party games get published by first parties and go on to get ported to other consoles.

I don't think so. Why didn't we get first Dead Rising for the PS3 then? Of course the IP is in Capcom hands, I'm not saying that Dead Rising won't see it's way to PS4 eventually, just rather not Dead Rising 3. They may end up doing something in the likes of Dead Rising: Super Razor's Edge Arcade Edition that will be basically Dead Rising 3 enhanced that can be released on the PS4 through a loophole in the deal, but I think that's unlikely.

It's the same things like with Bayonetta 2, published by Nintendo so don't hold your breath for any other console release, I recall someone from Platinium Games saying something like that exactly.

Dead Rising released before PS3 and it aged pretty badly fast, most early games do.  They just moved onto DR2 for HD systems.  Dead Rising DID get ported though....to Wii.

Look at games like Ninja Gaiden 2, MS published, got a PS3 release as Ninja Gaiden II Sigma (with more content) a year later.

Bayonetta 2 is different, Nintendo are actually helping fund that game.

Yeah that's why I said that there is a posibility it will make it through a loophole, as a Rehashed edition, like both Dead Rising Chop Til You Drop and Ninja Gaiden II Sigma did, depending on the deal between Capcom and MS. Sceondly I'm sure MS is also helping to fund Dead Rising 3, 3rd party exclusives without money incentives are a thing of the past, like they were in the PS2 times.

The bigger success PS4 is, the bigger chance those games will come. We'll have to see it that will happen or not

So it is happening...PS4 preorder.

Greatness Awaits!

Great game but not really bothered by it not being on ps4. They will lose a ton of money if ps4 sells well. I mean killzone 3 had a mode where you can use a walker robot or fly the jetpack so it. Also starhawk is a great game with robots and transforming jets. Titanfall is jawdropping but Starhawk and killzone 3 will fill my needs just fine.

This is a little different judging by the interview regarding the title, we shall see.   But as I have said before, a timed exclusive of a year is pretty much an exclusive, they sell very badly on the switch to the other console

Depends on what you consider as "very badly". The developer in question doesnt seem to think the games sell badly, because the sequels are usually launching on the console day 1. Lets look at a few examples.

Mass Effect 2 was a 1 Year timed "exclusive" on the 360. The game sold 1.25 Million units on PS3 and Mass Effect 3 released day 1 on PS3 with the 360 version. This is a story driven franchise.

Ninja Gaiden 2 was a 1 Year exclusive to 360. Sigma 2 released on the PS3 a Year later and sold 200k less than the 360 version. Ninja Gaiden 3 released multiplat and the PS3 version outsold the 360 version.

BioShock was a timed exclusive to the 360. It released a Year later on the PS3 and has sold 1.14 Million. BioShock 2 and Infinite released day 1 on PS3.

Oblivion was a timed 360 "exclusive". It released on PS3 in 2007 in sold over 2.8 Million units. Skyrim launched day 1 and has sold over 4.6 Million units on PS3.

Tales of Vesperia was a 360 exclusive for a Year and sold 650k worldwide. It released on PS3 and sold 430k in Japan alone, the series has since moved to PS3.

Dead Rising was a 360 exclusive, it sold 2 Million units. Dead Rising launched day 1 on PS3 with 360 and sold within 100k units of the 360 version. DR: Off The Record on PS3 outsold the 360 version.

Timed exclusive games are pointless in the grand scheme of things and they dont benefit the developer in the slightest. This should stay exclusive, but I wouldnt be surprised at all to see EA's Titanfall go multiplat at a later date.

I'll get the game of the year edition on 2014 for PS4.

Those are some great examples. Timed exclusive really doesn't help much in most cases.

Yeah I was just going to buy this for the 360.

Don´t never buy a cross gen game for the current gen console. They are never as good
