So for comparison. ps4 I can give my game to someone to play but I can't play it
With the x1 me and 10 others can share the all our games and I can still play it as long as no one else is

Uh, skewed a bit.  Let me return the favor:

PS4 you can share your physical disc with unlimited other people to play, but you cannot play simultaneously.

Xbox One (according to THIS report, seems to change weekly) you can share your game [via library] with only 10 other people, but you cannot play simultaneously.

See what I did there?

It's a sad day in gaming when stuff like this has to be explained.

Just walk back Microsoft. You still have time to remove all these silly restrictions.

to me its an awesome feature. what makes it so sad?

thats what annoyed me about all the psychotic rants. its like the reading comprehension went out the window. they always tie the cant lend to a friend to the give policy. the give policy is for those that want to gift or give their game away, not let borrow. and if i give you something should i care if you cant give it to someone else. and if i give it to you then of course i cant give it to anyone else because i'm not the owner anymore. but but but i cant let my friend borrow my game. you don't have to when they can share your entire game library without even getting your disc.

now the only policy that really need clarifying "any one of your family members can be playing from your shared library at a given time."

is that anyone or just one which would be lame. considering you might have 2 consoles in your house that leaves no room for sharing.

i swear i can do better pr than those shit for brains they have working for microsoft right now can.

" its like the reading comprehension went out the window"

I think your writing ability leaves much to be desired as well.

"the give policy is for those that want to gift or give their game away, not let borrow. and if i give you something should i care if you cant give it to someone else. and if i give it to you then of course i cant give it to anyone else because i'm not the owner anymore. but but but i cant let my friend borrow my game. you don't have to when they can share your entire game library without even getting your disc. "

Sometimes people can't comprehend what they read because it's written in a completely incomprehensible style of writing. What is this "give policy" you speak of?

"now the only policy that really need clarifying "any one of your family members can be playing from your shared library at a given time." "

They cleared this up. You want to go work on your reading a little bit? One console can play the game at a time.

i swear i can do better pr than those shit for brains they have working for microsoft right now can."

Judging from what I saw here, I beg to differ.

BTW, this report seems highly unlikely without a lot of gotchas. Why, people would just starting buying 1 single player game per 10 people. As some have already stated here, that would equal less revenue for studios than even now since people WOULD abuse it, so something smells fishy here.

Microsoft keeps pulling ever changing statements out of their ass. And on top of it, they keep saying "more detail to come later" or "all the details haven't been finalized yet" lol. Am I the only one not wearing goggles here?

Ok you caught me lol I'm Sry

But I think on the x1 the one who buys the game can access it no matter what, its the ones who are using the shared the game that only one can play at a time

Finally good news. Sharing like that is way better than having to walk a mile to a friends house just to give him a game. Good job, MS.

If MS would make a how-to video on this, they would absolutely trump Sony's lending video. Trolling the troll.

HOW SURE are you that you won't have to insert the disc and have it verified online before you can start playing?

I'm pretty sure it'll be the case.

hmm, sounds good, but kind of weird I guess. I mean by my understanding, if I buy a game then I can share it with 10 other people on my "family list", no matter where they are and they can play it when I don't. So whats stopping people from splitting the cost among themselves and just buying 1 copy per 10 people. Maybe microsoft has a countermeasure for this.

Hmmm.  I didn't interpret it that way.  I guess, per Microsoft, we'll just have to wait and see!  They keep dragging out details, giving slightly conflicting reports, etc.  What does that really tell you?   Cmon.  Think about it.

I think they are getting a little more backlash then even they anticipated, and are making changes etc.  Trying to figure out a way to get this to a point where it's "acceptable enough" for peole to actually buy the console.
