There's got to be a catch. Otherwise what's the deal with giving a game disc to someone and then you losing the ability to ever play that game again and that lending only being allowed to happen once for any disc? OTOH, if you give the disc to another friend and you are in their family circle (but they have 9 different people than your 10) does that mean you have access through their library?
So with one game purchase up to 20 people can completely play a game, over time. That's actually significantly worse than traditional used game sales because a game probably only gets re-sold 2 or 3 times.
And how does someone 3000 miles away get the game onto their HDD. There is no way you're gaming purely on the cloud.
It makes absolutely no sense to put in all sorts of crazy restrictions only to have a giant loophole which could end up being worse for new game sales than the existence of a used game market.
If it sounds too good to be true it probably is too good to be true.
If he couldn;t give comprehensive details it means he's probably hiding the downside.
