Forums - Gaming Discussion - Anybody else saying screw the hate, and getting both consoles?

Will you buy Both X1 and PS4?

Yes both on launch day 10 6.54%

Yes but PS4 first X1 later 15 9.80%

Yes but X1 first PS4 later 19 12.42%

No only getting PS4 96 62.75%

No only getting X1 13 8.50%

Total:153

There is too much that is wrong with the XONE for me to consider it at this point. I especially don't like that when I would consider buying it (4-5 years from now) I might not (won't) be able to buy used games. I often have to rely on the used game market when I buy games super late because there are no new copies of the games I want.

So far the only potential game I want to get for the XONE is tales of whatever that I hear might go exclusively to the XONE.

I can't. Not because of the hate or anything just because i'm poor.. 1 Like = 1 Prayer.

I'm getting a ps4 holiday and maybe a wii u down the line for exclusives like smash,x, etc. The Xbox one, not sure. The cost is too high to be my launch system, but I might get it down the line.

PS4 and maybe a WiiU depending on how X, Bayo2 and Zelda look.

I probably will at some point, but that's alittle ways down the road.

I'm getting a X1 on launch day (have it pre-ordered already) and I plan to buy the PS4 within a year or two after it launches (probably after the first price cut).

As to the topic of hate, one thing that most people don't realize is that when they are faced with the maker of their favorite devices doing something that most people consider bad, most of them will still accept it and make justifications for it. We saw it with XBL costing money, Steam and how the whole DRM thing for that works, PSN + charging money for online play, and many, many others over the years.

I don't like a lot of The One's policies but I'm justifying my purchase because I know for me that the games and features will be worth it and am further justifying it by stating how these policies won't negatively effect me personally.

The most recent justifications that I've seen have come from online costing money on the PS4. There were a plethora of people justifying that by saying things like "I already pay for PSN+ so it's worth it for me.", or "The amount of deals and free games makes it all worth it." And in reality, that is just fine. When you're invested heavily into an ecosystem like XBL, PSN, Steam, or any device really, most people will justify and live with things that they don't like despite previously saying that they wouldn't support "this" or "that".

There's always a very small amount of people that will stick to what they say and not support a product that does something they don't like (even if they previously loved that product) but even half of those people will eventually cave in once it becomes the norm or they see something that is so good that they can't say no to it.

I'm saying screw the hate and most likely just going to buy a WiiU or stick to my 3DS.
