Forums - Gaming Discussion - Anybody else saying screw the hate, and getting both consoles?

Will you buy Both X1 and PS4?

Yes both on launch day 10 6.54%

Yes but PS4 first X1 later 15 9.80%

Yes but X1 first PS4 later 19 12.42%

No only getting PS4 96 62.75%

No only getting X1 13 8.50%

Total:153

At this point I have to say I'm only getting the X1, because right now the PS4 just doesn't have enough exclusives that I want to justify spending even more money on hardware rather than tons of software. The Order 1886 is the only PS4 exclusive that has my attention; I was hoping we were going to see The Last Guardian and the next project from Naughty Dog, but alas, it wasn't to be.

Getting Xbox One day 1 and I may pick up a PS4 if they release some interesting exclusives down the road. Not interested in Infamous or Killzone.

nope. I refuse to buy a console that doesnt allow used games. That is over a generation probably about $2000 loss to me

It does allow used games.

its up to the publisher to implement if they want to block or not.

all 1st party MS games will support trade ins and pre owned.

you would think we would be passed this by now.

Loaning and rentals not allowed (yet). Cannot sell to anybody. It has to be a MS certified retailer. Confirmed by Microsoft.

Due to all this stupidity. I'm out.

I will be getting PS4 on launch and Xbox One after they do a price drop. Also will eventually get a Wii U but no timetable for that, either when the price is cheap enough or when Nintendo has more than Mario for the platform.

No, we can't get past it.  Microsoft is pure evil now, don't you understand?  We must defeat them at any cost, even if that means spreading around info that isn't true.  This is a moral issue.  Ownership of games is sacred and DRM must be defeated...unless it's Steam, they apparently get a pass on violating our consumer rights, because sales.  Gabe Newell must remain the savior of the games industry, next to (Kaz/Reggie/insert favorite non-Microsoft exec here), of course.

Seriously though, if people think that the console won't play used games, they'll figure out the truth pretty quick when they walk into Gamestop and, whaddaya know?  There are used X1 games on the shelves.

Get both, I'm getting all of the new consoles, not all at once but I will have them all under my tv one day.

Gamestop?  But what about mom and pop shop down the street (that I never ever have shopped at, but I digress)???  MS has cut them out completely!  'Participating retailers' means ONLY Gamestop clearly!

And that does nothing about the mandatory check in every 24 hours!  What if ... [thinking] ... what if a tornado hits and my internet is out for weeks???  How am I supposed to be able to play my games in the rubble that was once my neighborhood???  How is online going to help me then???  [technically could sign in on another X1 and play my full game still ...]  I don't want to hear about how my connection is never, even down for more than 24 hours or how I've logged into XBL every time I've played a game for the last 7 years, it's about the principle!

OT:  Ok, I better chill before I go where I've never gone before and tempt moderation.  If I had the money and the time to game like I did in my younger, more frivolous years, screw the hate and have all 3 including the Wii U.  Alas I'm trying to justify even getting one of these.  I need more convincing next gen gameplay experiences before I can commit.  But I'd love to have all 3 and just sit back and smile like I did with the Xbox/PS2/Dreamcast/Gamecube/PC ...

I will be getting a PS4 and Wii U..that's my both

umm no maybe for certain retaliers, but I sell all my games on trademe which is new zealands ebay. therefor most the time I get full price I paid for the game back

Xbox day one edition will be mine! The way MS are buying up all the exclusives too, I might get a WiiU instead as a secondary but I'm 100% behind the 3DS.
