people would want a direct if nintendo were launching a console,right?
Advantage goes to: | |||
Nintendo Direct | 32 | 39.02%
Press Converence | 50 | 60.98%
Total: | 82 |
Considering they had little new to show, just greater exposure to already know titles mostly, I think a full conference would have been a waste.
You people do realize they're going to do more than one Direct, right? As well as having various developer interviews, Nintendo interviews, many games on the floor, etc. Right?
I feel indifferent, each of them has their own strength and weaknesses from the other...
I loved it. It was all games and none of the BS. I cringed multiples times through each of the Sony and Microsoft conferences. People can be so awkward.
Nintendo Direct is fine, but I prefer the press conference for the big stage, loud music and especyaly the crowd's reaction. Imagine the crowd's reaction to that Smash trailer and Megaman reveal if it was in a press conference, I'm sure it would have been memorable.
Also their is one thing I hate about the Directs, it's their tendency to always spend 2-3minutes to state the obvious. We watched the SM3DW trailer, we all saw it was multiplayer and we can play peach. And Iwata goes ''here you can see that we can play peach, blahblahblah'' while reshowing the same footage we saw. Same thing when they mentioned MK8 gravity or Bayonetta's short hair. We have eyes, we can see what's going on in these trailers w/o having to endure 3minutes of Iwata slowwwly recaping what we saw.
The worst was the end, ''here you can see Ale folowed by 3Pikmin'' Gosh, you don't say?
What?! I can't hear you over all this awsome! - Pyrrhon (Kid Icarus:Uprising)
Final Ultimate Legendary Earth Power Super Max Justice Future Miracle Dream Beautiful Galaxy Big Bang Little Bang Sunrise Starlight Infinite Fabulous Totally Final Wonderful Arrow...FIRE! - Wonder-Red (The Wonderful101)
Better. Instead of standing on stage for two hours and not announcing anything it only took them about 40 minutes to not announce anything.
