Wow, I was kicked out of the lobby!?! Some racing you got there episteme

That hasn't happened to me since June... The whole lobby "exploded".

Man, I had to be in the top 3 to not lose points. Good that I was only twice outside the top 3, the 8th place with -14 points did hurt :(

I saw that. I wonder if anyone will reach 99999, it seems impossible.

The problem is that the amount of points you get decreases as you increase in rank. I don't know what formula they use, but I feel like eventually you would be getting only 1 point for winning or something like that. I don't see it being possible in terms of how much time you would have to put into the game.

I bet the Wii U would sell more than 15M LTD by the end of 2015. He bet it would sell less. I lost.

Yeah, lots of pressure when you're in a group with people that have much less points...

Did you know that you can display the map and the player's names in the highlight reels (with minus)?

Next time you should start your own race, then we can join and battle it out with high point racers.

That map in the reel is cool, you can see how everyone else is doing. Seems like I was second most of the time, and at the end the third racer got a boost while I got naught. BTW thanks for picking a race I at least did decently

I was fascinated by my lead when the blue shell hit me in the second lap ;)

BTW it's usually better to do no trick on orange boost pads.

You pulled out far ahead of us. But the camera was somewhat fixated on me.

And you mean all boost pads? Why? There's no extra boost with tricks? Or do you loose impulse by jumping more?

Tricks override the boosts from pads and you land earlier when you do no trick. That sometimes means that you can do an orange drift boost in the next curve instead of a blue one.

OK, thanks! Now I know. I'll try it out on Sunday if I can.

I haven't been online for 2 days or so, but my Wii U seems to have updated MK8 by itself, so it's all nice and up-to-date. I'll check it out right now, maybe I'll go online for a bit as well, even though it's already past midnight.

We should add a VGChartz tag to our Mii's name. Like some sort of clan.

That's actually a pretty neat idea...
