Seeing all the hype for Smash reminds me of this post on an article about a 2d fighting game not coming to Wii U.

I have this on 360, pretty good game. Not trying to knock the Wii U but do fighting games even sell well on Nintendo systems?

which I replied back to him

@shonenjump86 Smash Bros. which obliterates all other fighters in sales says hello.

Man, SNES was THE console for fighting games back in the day.  Some Sega fans will try to say something about the better version of Mortal Kombat 1, but that's really all it had going for it.

Haha, NP.

If I hadn't seen a buddy of mine play it on a PS3 I wouldn't even have bothered to research this. TBH, the game DOES look like it originated on a smartphone :D

Ah! I thought so but wasn't sure.  Anyways, I just posted it because I thought it was funny that the person forgot about Smash considering it is the highest selling fighting game for home consoles.  That would be like asking... do platform games even sell on Nintendo systems?

I loved to play as Lucas, but I don't think he'll be back this time. If I could change something, I would change his PK Freeze. Seemed pretty useless.

I also liked to use Link, Marth, Ike, Meta Knight, and Ness.

The main thing that I want fixed is the online. It was really fun with Mario Kart, so I figure why not SSB? I always wanted to try it, but I heard it sucked, and even when I wanted to, it would take too long to start and I'd give up. Also I have no VGChartz Wii friends haha - The local multiplayer was TONS of fun anyway, so it wasn't that big of a deal.

Yup. That's subcoscious bias, I guess. Many fans (especially in competitive leagues) don't even consider Super Smash Bros. a fighting game...

I mained Falcon in ssb64
Marth in Melee
Samus in brawl

I will not be going back to samus in smash4 but if i did i would request a TON of changes.

In short, make her like she was in melee. Super missiles did great damage/knockback and cause the foe to move AWAY when they got hit by them and not UP like in brawl. Id also give her melee Nair back to her because brawl Nair in brawl is terrible weak and has next to no hit stun. Id also just give samus a little more kill power. If each of her moves did 2-3% more damage (thats fair imo) that would literally make her a ton better.

Either way, i wont be using her in smash4.

So that's how I learn that I'm not your friend...

The "With friends" options worked really really good. The "With anyone" option was awful, long wait times, only 2 minutes FFA.

Hey truckosaurus... Maybe this time you can play with me more than a match or two online. Sorry I didn't play Brawl much online because the lag killed the gameplay for me. It didn't feel right (almost felt like I was playing the slow N64 version again).

I sure hope so. Playing Brawl online was always a blast I hope the sequel is just as much fun.

~Will you be my WiiU friend? When I buy one that is? :p

*I just re-read that. haha that came out wrong. I meant I have no 'friends' on my Wii friend list, like at all. I never bothered XP

Oh, I didn't know that part about friends vs anyone. I had only heard that the online sucked, and I never bothered with it afterwards.

Also, laggy Jordan internet is lame. I usually never bother with online console games, but Mario Kart Wii was really something special. Most online gamers here are PC.

My main was Mario. I really hope he gets more weight, is less floaty, doesn't turn around as easily so that jumping backward and throwing fireballs is a breaze. I hope his waterpack stays but I really miss a proper spin attack (his previous down-B). If they keep the water-pack then his dair should allow for repeatedly pressing A to gain height. His f-smash should have Melee range.

But anyways I'm playing as Megaman.
