Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Official Super Smash Bros. Brawl Thread

All Final Smashes have their uses. Some are certainly better than others, but most just take someone who knows how to use them right.

Also, I'm almost positive that you can NOT use stage builder stages online at all.  Even if both people have it.

I would like to see the different costume colors of all the characters and not just the random ones from the youtube videos. Don't suppose anybody can find something that shows all of them, like for sonic, lucario, pokemon trainer, Jiggly puff, etc.

I thought friend matches supported it? Hmm, there needs to be more investigation into that cause all online match videos I've seen so far have only been the, nameless random matches, which of course wouldn't have edited maps.

Also thanks for the info on Lucario, I knew his charge move did that but I hated that everyone kinda claimed he was a clone based on that one move. I like what I see when it comes to him, as I was a big Mewtwo player but I did want some changes to the character and now it might be what I was looking for.

Wait a second....this topic doesn't have over 10,000 posts. ;-;

I think the update would have mentioned it if you could, and it very clearly didn't.  It said you can submit them online to be distributed as the daily stage or send them to friends, but not that you could actually play on them with friends.

Hmm, well I'm crossing my fingers and hoping for the best, I think if you're going to be able to send them to someone online, being able to play them at that map seems to be a no brainer to me, I have seen crazier things I guess =\, but the absence of evidence doesn't mean the evidence of absence, and in my case I hope online edited maps is not absent cause I was kinda looking forward to it. Thanks for bringing me down Naz =(

Yeah, I don't think customs can be played online.

But that's not such a big deal to me...would have been nice, but I understand the limitations Sakurai's working with here.

Anyway, I don't really care what stages my tournament has...I'd probably prefer a more mild one like Lylat Cruise than something like Norfair hehe.

Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

ANYTHING BUT THAT STUPID METROID LAVA STAGE!

I hope the stage creation tool is actually good. The one is Dewey was shit but luckily Brawl are a little bit simpler so I'm optimistic.

From what I've seen so far, even with simple blocks and ladders, the possibilities are great. Simply adding a wall here or there changes up the gameplay considerably...and springs, spikes, falling blocks, etc make for some crazy stages. And they can be as small as the Animal Crossing stage or as big as New Pork City, so there's plenty of possibilities.
