Both Sony and Microsoft should have dropped in a 1tb drive.
They aren't much more expensive. (Think: $5-$10 in the consumer channel.)

And we have had 1tb platters for awhile now, so the drives themselves are not more sophisticated. - I.E. More unreliable/expensive to manufacture etc' due to multi-platter designs.
Oh and they're faster too!
Especially so for Microsoft as the Xbox One drive isn't user replaceable. (Is the PS4's replaceable?)

Plus, game sizes are expected to balloon this generation too, that 500Gb will go quickly when games have install sizes in the 20-50gb+ range and that's without DLC and such.

500gb is enough space for now. but hope its standard 2.5 HDDs.

Yes, PS4's HDD is replacable. Yoshida confirmed it on Twitter.

I do think that 500GB is not enough for the lifespan of the PS4. I plan on buying a 1TB+ HDD at launch. It will still end up being cheaper than an Xbox One :D

Damn, Camera and Additional Controllers are 60$ each. I'd totally buy a premium version with camera and 1tb hdd for 499 if they did that at launch along side it. If not, I'll just make those upgrades later.

what do people use their PSeye they have now for as in games,i don't have move,i use to use it as a mic and pictures for certain games like a burnout license but don't put myself on cam *ahem*
