So HDD replaceable, Region lock free, £349.. This is good. Has any console ever had a price reduction before releasing . anyone?

What, you mean the XB1? They can't.
While MS could price match and MS' PR guys could go into overdrive about how MS listens to consumers and is concentrating on being consumer friendly, frankly I don't think their corporate pride will allow them to match price, even if they weren't hobbled by the fact that their base SKU includes the impressive, but required and somewhat pricey Kinect 2.0.
If MS were to match price, it would effect their bottom line in a way that they probably won't go with. Two; discounting to project a message of listening to consumers and being consumer friendly flies directly in the face of their DRM measures, the online requirements/nanny checks, etc. etc. Dropping the price of their box by $100 alone isn't going to do anything but give those who are already committed to the Xbox a $100 discount; it won't earn them any significant number of new fans or sales.
Sony seems to be tripping over themselves to court both developers and consumers this time around in stark contrast to 2006's release of the PS3.
Brilliant move by Sony coming in 100 dollars cheaper than MS
Also good for my wallet since I'll be buying both consoles at launch

Second Son is based on real american history in which you can attack the governments weak points for massive damage..$399 US dollars..$399 US dollars. Drrrrrrrive Club!!!..The PS4 will massive damage for Drrrrrrrive Club!!!!!!
They literally could have just dropped the mic at $399.
"One last thing: $399. That is all. "

I know but couldn't miss that opportunity. For a guy who has never enjoyed FF I'm thinking of buying eventually after that gameplay demo.
