Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Xbox One price : inflation adjusted for PS3 comparison

Interesting in that sense...but honestly they cost $599.99 and $499.99 at that period of time. It means nothing.

1 year = 14 days now.

Reading posts by the  kowenicki defense force always provides great comic relief. Once you realize it's a clown show, they'll make you smile, too.
This one actually caused a light chuckle, well done.

If real earnings haven't increased (=consumers don't have more disposable income), then the rate of inflation is rather meaningless. Additionally, as others have pointed out, the absolute price of electronics has gone down in recent years, not up.
Now imagine how delighted consumers will be when they find out they just bought an overpriced rental box.

"Well certainly with the Xbox 360, we had some challenges at the launch. Once we identified that we took control of it. We wanted to do it right by our customers. Our customers are very important to us." -Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb (10/2013). Note: RRoD was fixed with the Jasper-revision 3 years after the launch of 360

"People don't pay attention to a lot of the details."-Yusuf Mehdi explaining why Xbone DRM scheme would succeed

"Fortunately we have a product for people who aren't able to get some form of connectivity; it's called Xbox 360,”-Don Mattrick

"The region locking of the 3DS wasn't done for profits on games"-MDMAlliance

People are just forgetting that $499 is the same price of the 20gb PS3 mode at launch in 2006 and we know what happened.

My bad. Shouldn't have said you did without checking. But either way, both arguments are irrevelant to consumers today given it's 2013 and not 2006. This goes for PS4 as well. If it's $599, it's no cheaper than the PS3 was for example.

And now it's 14 days instead of the month trial.

Sorry for bad English.

Still a terrible price...

That was me you were talking about, and I was wrong.

The UK price is ridiculous. Extortion.

Hey, I think the 2 week gold trial makes it up for it.

Sorry for bad English.
