Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Xbox One price : inflation adjusted for PS3 comparison

Just for a bit of clarity....

Xbox one 2013

US: $499

UK: £429

Inflation adjusted 2006 US price:

US $432 ($167 or 28% less than the PS3)

Inflation adjusted 2007 UK price:

UK £365 (£60 or 14% less than the PS3)

$500 US plus tax should be around $530 plus live at say $35 per year comes to $800 over 7 years without games.

I was walking down along the street and I heard this voice saying, "Good evening, Mr. Dowd." Well, I turned around and here was this big six-foot rabbit leaning up against a lamp-post. Well, I thought nothing of that because when you've lived in a town as long as I've lived in this one, you get used to the fact that everybody knows your name.

Luckily for our sakes we always buy products with inflation adjustment in mind!

If i was being paid $1200 a month in 2006. guess what? im still getting paid $1200 a month in 2013.

$500 is still $500

The bank of england and private federal reserve should stop inflating. More money is circulating but wages are stagnant.

Inflation doesn't mean they're less expensive. That's only true if wages have risen in line with prices - and they definitely have not.

Why don't you adjust for how much the price of mainstream electronics have dropped since 2006.  Then the situation is uglier, not better.

yawn.. truth hurts

also 1 year of live is included.

You aren't any better than the common PS3 fan of 2006 and 2007.

Legend11 correctly predicted that GTA IV (360+PS3) would outsell SSBB. I was wrong.

Biased reviews are a pleasure to read. Just my opinion, of course.

ok.. so the ps3 price in 2006 stays static at$599 (the more expensive model of course) but you can adjust the price of the One back to 2006 prices?  Why not tell people in 2013 a 599$ PS3 would cost $519 dollars?

Loyality does strange things to people i say.
