DEAD RISING 3 IS COMING, PEOPLE!

"Reveal trailer"

"25 minutes of footage"

DR3 IS FOCUSED ON A MORE DARK AND MATURED STORY, BUT THE GAME RETAINS THE GOOFINESS WATERMARK OF THE SERIES; IT'S UP TO THE PLAYER TO EXPLORE THESE ASPECTS. CONFIRMED CLASSIC TIME-LIMIT BASED SYSTEM (You can turn it off though). THE SERIES STILL UNDERSTAND WHICH ARE ITS ROOTS.

Ripped from Capcom-Unity:

Features

Dark, open world.

A bigger open world than ever before in the Dead Rising series--bigger than the worlds of DR 1 and 2 combined. The Xbox One hardware will also allow for a more seamless experience, with fast load times and awesome next-gen visuals.

Also expect lots more zombies on screen at a time, with vastly improved AI. You'll have to be creative to stay alive here.

Non-stop sandboxin'.

Hundreds of weapons scattered throughout the world and a nearly limitless variety of combo weapons. Combine weapons anywhere at any time!

Vehicles also play a much bigger role than ever before, but you'll still be vulnerable to the zombie threat when you're behind the wheel.

Easy to play, hard to master.

The accessible pick-up-and-play joy of a DR game, with a new save system and ability to explore the world without time constraints.

BUT! At the same time, you longtime DR folks will enjoy Nightmare Mode, which will bring us a return to classic DR rules, complete with countdown clock and other restrictions. More on Nightmare Mode to come, guys.

Coop Campaign!

Play with a buddy over Xbox Live, with drop-in, drop-out play.

SmartGlass and Kinect integration.

Use SmartGlass integration to turn your smartphone or tablet into a "Zombie Defense and Control PDA." Overwhelmed by the zombie masses? Use the device to call an airstrike and even the odds. The PDA will also give you live missing briefings and in-game calls, and keep track of your mission progress. It even has a map to help you find hidden items and locations of interest, plus a real-time news ticker to keep you aware of conditions around Los Perdidos.

The Kinect, meanwhile, will let you use noise to distract zombies and use motion controls to fight your way out of close encounters.

CAPCOM HAS STATED THAT THERE ARE EXCLUSIVE MISSIONS IF YOU'RE USING SMARTGLASS. THESE MISSIONS WILL GIVE INSIGHT OF SOME DEAD RISING'S 3 STORY, BUT WON'T BE FUNDAMENTAL TO UNDERSTAND THE PLOT. So, if you want the 100% Dead Rising 3 experience, you'll need to own a SmartGlass, but it is not necessary to enjoy the story, or the gameplay.

New Main Character!

-> Goes by the name of Nick Ramos.

Where will Frank West and Chuck Greene be?

-> It is set in California. The city is Los Perdidos.

-> The game is set three days after outbreak.

-> Desctructible enviroments.

-> No indicator when picking up weapons.

-> Also, the Hud is severely missing. Perhaps this will be final. Item in hand is shown down to the right.

-> You can combo-things whenever you want. The footage showed the main character assembling a flashlight to a handgun.

-> Perhaps this mean that firearms can be reloaded, or will have more presence than in other entries?

-> Zombies, zombies, zombies, and more zombies. Never a screen has had so many zombies at the same time =D

-> You can outsmart zombies. The footage showed Nick shooting a flare, and zombies would run to the light.

-> You can be attacked while driving, making it a less-safe way to travel between areas.

There was total free-roaming while the gameplay was shown. No more loading screens, people!

-> No time limit was shown during footage.

-> Use of Smartglass was shown, in order to support your character with airstrikes or things like that.

-> Xbox One exclusive.

I'll be updating. (First update up!)

It is going to be pretty epic especially since can make combo weapons on the spot.

True. However, the game did give me a very "dark" vibe, that differs greatly from the other two entries.

Agree with you there. It sounds like it's being made by their Vancouver studio this time, instead of in the main Japan studio. No Keiji Inafune directing this time.

Hopefully it'll retain the quirkiness of the previous two; we've got enough overly dark games right now.

Best weapon on MS arsenal in my opinion, I love Dead Rising and the Free Roaming stuff looks very fun. Since it is an exclusive, I hope sony makes a similar game, because, you know, DRM, Kinect, Used games, internet, bla bla bla...

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

Hope they can expand on the multiplayer/co-op, glad they opted not to go with Frank West I hated that guy. It Seems most of my issues with the game have be cleared up too, may shape up to be a really nice game.
Hopefully they go crazy with all the weapon creations.

All the Dead Rising after the first one (excluding Wii version) where made by Capcom Vancouver.

Visually speaking it wasnt that impressive.

But I'm liking at the dark tone of the game and the weapon customization.

If I get a Xbox One in the future, this might be the first title ;o.

I don't know. The weapon customization is pretty likeable (Instead of searching for a especific place to do so), but the dark tone...meh. If it maintains the silliness and happy-go-lucky style of the other two I won't complain. If they turn this into a muddled, typical zombie drama I will be disappointed :(
