Will Xbox One turn a profit?

Yes. 118 43.54%

No. 123 45.39%

Skid Row is nothing without Sebastian Bach. 28 10.33%

Total:269

Almost 50/50 in the pool for profit or failure on the XOne, very interesting.
I am also very impressed with the 22 Sebastian Bach fans.

Do not underestimate Microsoft, they will throw money at the Xbone to ensure it sells. Remember how viciously Microsoft can market their games? How quickly we all seem to forget how they will get timed exclusives, probably something like Metal Gear Solid. They will hit hard, Halo Reborn will be on the side of every Mountain Dew can.

They will find a way to get a bunch of EA exclusives, and if need be, Micrsoft would take huge losses to essentially give these boxes away because they know a monthly live fee will be coming their way. They will shamelessly partner up: install DirecTV, get a $99 Xbox One! buy a windows laptop, get a $99 Xbox One!

Most people are idiots, and Microsoft is counting on that

dark but true, and IMHO, they might be proven right...again.

The story in every Halo is so unique and a part of the whole universe, that alone is more evolution than most gaming series see over numerous sequels.

They should do a HALO RPG, more like the first Mass Effect, but much more open, you could travel the space in cool spaceships and visit alien world and stuff like that. That would be very cool.

I remember BATTLEFRONT on the PS2, you coul invade the enemy ship with smaller craft and, then, to get off the ship and blast the enemyes, do some sabotage... cool game. Pandemic also made a great job on MERCENAIRES, I miss then.

Not according to DirtyP2002's definition of profit ! GTHO you Halo hater.

Risking new ideas is not the way to get COD profits. This is the gaming landscape we deserve:

Halo 3, Halo CE, Halo Reach, Halo 3: ODST, Halo 4. COD MW, COD MW 2, COD MW 3, COD BO, COD BO II.

So once again we are back to calling people wanting to buy a Xbox One idiots, great work mods.

your mistake about the super casuals is price... they did get in to the wii because it was 250 from the start... but getting in to casual gaming for 400+ is a stretch to say the least

Not at all, casual are not idiots and neither FPS players, they are just not that into gaming as the rest of us, and enjoy a side of it, but not the full spectrum. I am sure that there are geniouses, writers, scientists, musicians, artists, and overall very bright and talented people who are casual gamers.

Hell, Paul Stanley from Kiss is a casual gamer, and he is very very smart and talented.

Also, the "super casual", the dancing hot girls and the people who want the TV stuff may also be very smart, talented and charismatic people for all I know.

As a old timer gamer, I am sad with MS approach to this next gen, but I am not here to judge. I think it is good for everyone, including Sony, if MS tries to get a bigger slice of the casual cake. Sony can focus on pleasing the Valkyria Chronicles-Siren-Heavy Rain-Demon´s souls ultra gamers and MS will get the middle ground, with casual and more serious stuff. Everyone will profit and we will be ok.

Yes, it will be profitable even if it only sells like a Gamecube. Live is too lucrative.

your high go home! no but seriously, people arent going to shell out 400 plus for a kinect 2, the Kinect wasnt that popular. THis isnt going to be the Wii not even close

non gamers could do all that crap better on stuff they most likely own.

I agree with everything else.

The Kinect was extremely popular. Kinect is probably the most successful add-on ever, it moved a lot of software, gave the 360 a casual userbase, and boosted console sales. It was a bigger success than most imagined and people are still buying it. It didn't just fade into obscurity like other add-ons we saw this generation.

really?? How well have Kinect titles been doing? Hell when was the last Kinect game realeased? Its selling? Of course it is, it comes with the damn system. Thats like me telling Wii Sports good job for being packaged with the damn Wii.

Yes, really.

How well have Kinect titles been doing? There are numerous million and multimillion sellers that still have good legs. Being able to find Kinect games at any major retailer is proof its still doing well.

We haven't seen any Kinect required titles this year but we'll see numerous titles for the 2013 holiday.

"It comes with the damn system." There is $199 4GB console, a $299 4GB+Kinect bundle, and a $299 HDD console with games. A good number of people are choosing to pay $100 for Kinect.

Wii Sports and Kinect Adventures are not the same thing. You actually have to buy a Kinect to get Kinect Adventures. To the contrary, you just need to buy a Wii to get Wii Sports. It makes more sense to compare Kinect Adventures to Wii Fit.

Just because something is intended for a casual audience, it doesn't mean they will embrace it.

I just don't think Kinect will be a selling point for the Xbox One. People are also severely overestimating the appeal of the TV/Entertainment services of Xbox One.
