The title is wrong and the OP doesn't really explain anything.  Here is part of the blog post:

"Then, starting Tuesday, June 11th at noon Pacific Time, we’ll kick off three days of our PlayStation LiveCast show featuring gameplay demos and developer interviews for zillions of upcoming PS4, PS3 and PS Vita games. Expect to see Beyond: Two Souls from Quantic Dream, Destiny from Bungie, DriveClub from Evolution Studios, The Evil Within from Tango GameWorks, Gran Turismo 6 from Polyphony Digital, inFAMOUS: Second Son from Sucker Punch Productions, Killzone: Shadow Fall and Killzone Mercenary from Guerrilla Games, The Last of Us from Naughty Dog, Tearaway from Media Molecule, Wolfenstein: The New Order from MachineGames and many, many more. All told, we’re planning to showcase more than 40 games across PS4, PS3 and PS Vita."

Sounds pretty awesome, to be honest.  I hope to watch some of it after I get off work.

God i see microsoft beeing beaten into a bloody pulp this E3.

Though lets be honest, a part of them will be PS3 and Vita aswell or exclusives. How are they gonna cram 40 games into that press conference?!

SCEWWS has closer to 21 development teams. Many studios have more than one team. Some teams like the ICE team, XDev, and C.A.M.P. help other 1st/2nd/3rd/indies with tech and publishing. It is very possible for Sony to have a minimum of 18 games in development at one time. Through in 2nd party, and 3rd/indie exclusives and they could easily have 40 or more exclusive SCEWWS published titles in development at any given time.

So, I agree this will not be all first party, but 40 Sony published exclusives is very possible. I just don't think they would show their full hand at one press conference, ecspecially with 2 more major ones before the console even releases.

PS4 is going to top Vita's launch lineup it seems. Here's to a E3 from a great company for a great platform. Playstation = Gaming. Plain and simple.

18 first party games in development at one time is definitely believable. Just for the fact that essentially 13 1st party studios could total 40 games is definitely out there, that would be 3 games to a studio, and the only Sony studio comprised of 3 teams is SCE Japan with 400+ employees.

They have 40 titles (both, exclusive and multiplatform and both Third and First party) between PS3, PS4, Vita and PSP :P
