Implying a forum user is a paid marketer is dangerously close to calling them a fanboy. I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt here but any other namedrop won't be tolerated.

This of course applies to everyone.

How is that close to calling them a fanboy?  It'd be calling them a paid employee.  Not saying he actually is, cause I honestly don't think he is (Though he does work for an advertising firm...)  But what if it was true?  That'd be weird O_O

deadly2choke's comment came off as "disolitude is way too much on Microsoft's side, he must be a viral marketer paid by them" which is an insult to a fellow member. There's a slight chance that deadly actually thought disolitude worked for MS so that's why I didn't go straight to a ban here.

Signature goes here!

A lot of them just got banned on GAF last night, from the Xbox camp. It was quite funny.

I have a feeling we have 1 or 2 here

There is one person we've had our eye on, actually. Though that was a few weeks ago and i wouldn't quite know what became of him since.

Yep!  However, they don't even know I am working for them...  I'm kind of like this guy but I don't get a paycheck.

Having worked with viral marketers.. They are much smarter then the fanboys and wouldn't be caught that easily.. They won't act as insane fanboys.. (sure there will be always an exception..)They get paid to be smarter then an average forum member.. And if people think they are on a forum as small as vgchartz that just insane.. Viral marketers are much more active on social media sites like Facebook and Twitter or more mainstream sites.. This site ain't worth it with 200 active members.

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

Any side that has crap in there signature that changes every month when a new game comes out makes me wonder about them. You can be excited about a game but not every fucking one. There is lots on these forums that do it.

You wanna have your opinion, then you have to respect different opinions as well.

I think its natural on any videogame forum that has a sizable community. Especially one like this, where its easy enough to make an account.

Name names? :P

The more talented ones probably work on bigger sites, where there's more exposure to be had and where it could be easier to blend in with the crowd. From what i've read, viral marketers can also work in bulk, and when they do so they *will* target smaller communities and essentially go for quantity over quality (flushed out of one community, you try again at another, and have a dozen or more accounts active at any given time)
