Forza is a great game which could flagship the Xbox... unfortunately Halo is in decay and constant Forza sequels ruin the Xbox experience for me.

Many argued that Call of Duty was in Decay. Call of Duty WW2 changed that sentiment almost overnight.

Halo could still potentially do the same thing... But I will reserve judgement on that front until I have the games in my hot sweaty hands.
Halo 5 was pretty average and was probably the worst Halo title in the entire franchise.

It's campaign deviated from it's advertising, visuals were mediocre, story needed more love, multiplayer was bare bones, features missing, not enough maps, micro-transaction infested.

But Halo 6 could turn that around. I do hope so, I actually like the Halo franchise, I own every game on every platform it has ever released on.
But holy crap was Halo 5 a terrible game for a Halo game.

I wouldn't call it a worse. I'd say the PS Vita and Wii U are probably worse consoles even though I love my Wii U. Also the XB1 has like 15-20 exclusives of the top of my head which is a pretty good amount to buy a console for imo.

The bulk of decent Xbox One exclusives are on PC. Meaning they aren't true exclusives.
And as a PC gamer... (And there are HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS of us!) have less of a reason to pick up a console.

The only reason I jumped on the Xbox One bandwagon was for Halo and Fable. Even if the games are average, they still tend to be enjoyable.

The Wii U was shit partly because of it's controller gimmick and underwhelming hardware capabilities.
The Vita just didn't seem to gain any traction what-so-ever, don't think I have ever seen one on sale or advertised here actually.

The PS Vita isn't a console.

It's a handheld portable console. Ergo. A console.

No, it's not. Just handheld/portable.

So after a long time away I picked up an Xbox One X, not quite living in a 4K world yet, but with the optical drive in my launch 360 dying/dead and most friends having hopped over I have made the leap.... man halo 5 was disappointing, on the bright side despite its flaws forza 7 ruled and I am looking forward to Red Dead

Forza is a great game which could flagship the Xbox... unfortunately Halo is in decay and constant Forza sequels ruin the Xbox experience for me.

How does forza being annual ruin things for you? (Especially when the games are consistently great?)

Bet with Intrinsic:

The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.

The Xbox One is literally the worst console of this generation. Games Pass? For what? Forza and Halo? I know that example is dramatic - but the X1's exclusive library is total garbage. PUBG doesn't change that.

Yeah, the only people that say that is people that actually don't own one.

So what you're saying is that "owning" one automatically gives it a free pass from scrutiny and standards. That's called bias. Presumably unlike you, I know when to admit I made a poor choice in a console - that's why I sold my Wii three months after owning it and threw my Dreamcast into the garbage.

We have ourselves a badass over here.
Poor Dreamcast. It didn't even see it coming.

Ah, Halo 5. Bad campaign for Halo standards, especially the balancing if playing solo was terrible on legendary.

But the multilpayer was great, got tons of additions and micro transactions are totally optional. You don't need them at all if you don't play Warzone.

Graphicswise it's a 60fps game, though not the shiniest one. I really hope they don't go back to the 30fps of older Halos.

Great time to pick one up, let alone the X1X. There is enough of a backlog to keep you busy and plenty of new games around the corner. Gamepass is a phenomenal deal if you're into that. It honestly super nice having BC. I never played the Saints Row games before and I just jumped into Saints Row 3 and I've been having a lot of fun with it. If it wasn't for BC I would have never played it.

Nice, the BC has been rocking. the all time best is Saints Row 2 really hoping it makes the cut eventually. also hoping for the saboteur, and crackdown series

I have good news for you then. Crackdown just became backwards compatible yesterday.

I wish I was a bad ass, I certainly didn't feel like one when I owned a Wii. And I threw my Dreamcast away after owning it for a couple years. After I got my fill of Dead or Alive 2 and Soul Calibur it just collected dust - and more dust.

If throwing a console away is an expression flexing to you, then you must be young or..well...dumb I guess. People throw peripherals away all the time bromosexual.

I find myself in the same boat, a majority of my games have been on x360 and i loved the original xbox. it just sucks, but i will not bend on this.
one main reason is where i live, its hurricane season, the generator doesnt make the internet work. might lose power tonight from the tropical storm, the grounds wet, trees will be falling allover the place, so if power did go out and say it was worse than anyone expected and it was days with no power and net which has happened, i would have a whole weekend with a game system i couldnt even play because it hasnt checked in. not to mention a full blown hurricane it could be weeks. this isnt everyones problem, i understand that. but its big enough for me not invest in something like that. plus the gamefly and used game thing is a complete turn off even more, and the kinect tax , i dont even want it, i dont use the one i have.

these are not fanboy reasons or trolling or anything like that, its a real life situation and it is not something that would be in my best interest in my opinion.

I didnt leave xbox, xbox left me.

Before Phil... this was me.

After Phil... I love the BC, games with gold, and I did buy an one, then a one x. But it did not happen until Phil got shit back on track. This is quite humbling to read so long after the fact, I guess for me they did a great job at doing things to get me back in the xbox system.
