Everybody is being subjective here. If we're going to stick to FACTS, the only real answer is Wii and there's no need for this thread. Wii won. Market share wise, financially, everything.

My Wii is covered in dust but that doesn't change the fact that it "won" this gen.

What the hell do you mean by this?  You mean Wii doesn't have WiFi internet connection?  That was the main connection for the Wii...  You could also buy an USB ethernet adapter for $10-15.  No WiFi...  You mean the launch 360 didn't have WiFi.  That is the only console that didn't have it at launch.  Get your facts straight.

Also, 360 racks the big $... Nintendo obviously made the most money last generation.  360 had the RROD which they had to spend millions in fixing and extend warranties.  They had massive losses the first few years due to R&D and selling it at a loss.

Lastly, you could actually have the Wii play DVDs through homebrew.  I never put homebrew on my console but I know a friend that did.  He stated it wasn't that great of a player but it played.  Anyways, who the hell doesn't have a DVD player these days (let alone a blu-ray player considering they are dirt cheap now)?

Wii. Sold the most, made the most profits, for Nintendo.

Dunno about profits for 3rd parties though, that might go to 360.

PS3 finishing strongest, and thus carrying best momentum into next gen, whether that means anything remains to be seen.

PS3 won --> it has the best dynamic atm, the best library, passed 360 while the Wii essentially collasped.

I don't think that there is an absolute answer to this question...

The Wii sold the most, but the Wii had a very strong start and then dropped very hard. Nintendo simply was not able to keep this console alive. The third party support was also not that successful and they had hard times to make the Wii Users buy some Third Party titles that were not a Minigame collection.

I personally have a hard time judging the Wii. Since I had a PS3 and the Wii at the same time, I simply find it hard to understand why I got so many awesome games for me PS3 and so little games for the Wii. Moreover, I personally find that Motion controls are simply so bad that they can kill my desire to even play the game. Games like Epic Mickey or Super Mario Galaxy would have been far better without the WiiMote. The only genre where the WiiMote shines is the Railshooter...

My personal winner is the PS3 because I have played so many deeply impressive games that I will still remember in 10 years. Final Fantasy XIII, Heavy Rain, Assassin's Creed 2,... I simply had so much more fun with PS3 games (with no motion controls) than with Wii Games.

Why not FPS also?  I enjoyed playing FPS with Wiimote and nunchuck more than lame ass dual analog.
