I signed up because of the sales numbers and because the UI with the VGChartz was really handy i thought.

I just dislike that the chat format is html instead of the usual vbulletin stuff. It makes it a bit more troubling to post videos and pictures. The quote trees could probably use a removal aswell.

Also, contrary to popular opinion around here, the mods have been very kind to me so i never got where the hate came from.

I would be devastated if they changed from html. You get used to it after a while. A whole other system of codes would confuse many for years.

I dont know the details, but maybe it can have both formats? I find posting images with IMG tag and videos with similar tags like youtube alot easier than to load the html interface and trying to make heads from tails of it. Anyways, just saying it would be simpler for newcomers aswell. I'm sure it would be easy to adapt if it changed, but either way its just my opinion. ;)

It's also my opinion. :)

This cant be stated enough, this has been the main problem for many years now.

Sony fans spam the report button and in combination with the pro sony moderations has made this site unbareble for everyone but Sony fans

Examples?

When ps3 was released and you were banned if you implied it was a failure wich it was (economicaly).

If you entered any of the wait untill x game comes for ps3 and trolled or poked fun you were banned (and rightly so)

but it took you guys 6 months to start banning people for the rrod threads that was mostly started by Sony fans

for the wii nothing happened when you trolled the system or said it was not next gen

same for the wii u, nothing has been done to stop it´s not as powerfull as current gen threads and the wii is not next gen threads

xbox one is suffering the same thing now sony fans trolling the shit our of the drm thing and nothing is done

Sony fans are the cause for most of the flaming and trolling posts here but you rather ban the people reacting to their trolling.

How about you ban both sides when they transgress? and not only to one party that is reacting to the other?

Half of those aren't really fair because they took place before any of us were moderators.

And we do moderate people for saying the Wii and Wii U were last gen. That's what got Mazty most of the way to his permaban. We certainly moderate for Xbox One trolling; that's made up the majority of our moderations for the last ten days and it's the reason why we've blasted through our previous record for most moderations in a month.

Trolling comes in equal amounts from all sides, really. It's just that no group of fans is willing to see its own contribution to the problem, and many members of each group of fans see negative opinions of a system they like as automatically being troll posts, which most of the time they are not.

Well I am on Neogaf, IGN, Kotaku and some others forums...

But I must VGChartz is going way too far in term of censorship and limitation of expression (which I believe is illegal both in Europe and US).

And coincidentally there seem to be a very conservative trend, I mean pro Xbox One, positive corporate discourse, anti-piracy, anti-consumerism etc...

Just out of curiosity. If we just said Wii was last gen would that be alright?

I understand the wii U message, since it is obviously not last gen.

Well yes, because the Wii is last gen (regarding the Wii U as current gen).

You believe wrong. As a private organisation we are free to restrict access to our website and content posted on that website. If we were legally prosecuting you, you might have a point, except that you would not, because free speech is not a guaranteed right outside of America anyway.

Yeah. Frankly I'm not interested in pointlessly discussing with you guys anymore. Besides, the numbers of the sitehaven't been that accurate for a few years now. Also, the mods totally have us under a Gaming Corectness dictatorship.

Pro Xbox One? No, wrong forum :)

I am really tired and exhausted. I am completely unable to keep away from arguments, I really am. I come here and I end up being put into some argument or I start an argument myself and the thing drags on for days. Sometimes no party yields and it seems to drag on forever without a point.

I am also unable to keep things short and I end up making long posts that take hours to make and absorb a lot of my time that I could be investing in more important things like my current studies.

Right now I have several conversations in different kinds of threads pending and every time I come here I think about them and feel I need to follow them. These arguments sometimes even follow me AFK and I also invest time, thought and energy on them when I am not in VGC. Sometimes these arguments piss me off so much that I feel can affect my mood, and I tend to invest negative energy in my thoughts over things which are kind of pointless.

Then I feel nothing good came out of this argument in the end, it ends up being and feeling pointless.

I also have issues with the mod team here. I reported one person here for writing something that seemed to go against the new rules. Asked kindly to be informed whether what that person said was alright or not to say so that I could have a clear idea of whether what that person did is permitted or not and I have not been responded. Contacted the mod more than once. I was just asking for clarification, and not even that is provided by the mod team. There is so much things in this website that draw negativity on me, I think it is better to go away.

For these reasons I will leave VGChartz. There are a lot of cool people in here, I will miss some of you. Thank you guys, take care.

Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:

Take a nice long rest. You shouldn'e be here if it stresses you out to that degree.

Maybe you can come back after E3 to watch the storm lol.
