So you turn yourself into the victims? Have you seen these forums lately? Every 2nd thread is bashing the X1 in one form or another, no way... Before then it was, WiiU is selling like crap, WiiU is not getting any 3rd party support, WiiU isn't named well, WiiU tablet controller isn't as captivating as the WiiMote...

This is why we Ninty and MS fans get along. You aren't fighting on 2 fronts, you attack on 2 fronts. This wasn't directed at you specifically but come on....

Hi, did you miss all the Vita negativity threads? I'm definitely NOT saying Sony fans are victims in any way shape or form. I think the fighting on 2 fronts was accurate. Sony fans attack and are attacked on both sides. I honestly don't believe one fanbase is better than another at all.

I didn't... I've been here longer than you. I've been through the PS3 selling poorly and the NO GAEMZ saga also... They might last as long but they never get this many threads... Never. Even you agree that Sony fans are more "vocal".

I stated earlier I believe Sony fans appear to be more vocal simply because they are in the middle of Nintendo and Microsoft. There were a lot of Vita threads to go along with the Wii U ones and the reason there are so many X1 threads right now is because it JUST got announced and to be honest, a lot of people were disappointed in it.

There were way, way, way more WiiU threads and the amount of X1 threads are crazy. The Vita got hit hard but nothing in comparision.  There is a reason why it's a "battle on 2 fronts" situation. Nintendo and MS fans didn't put you there either.

Okay, I've been hearing this quite a bit lately. Mostly from Microsoft fans, and this was even before the X1 reveal. Is it true? Dunno. This site has more Nintendo fans than anything.

I hear things like "The internet is full of Sony fans, but in real life it's totally different!". It's become such a defensive statement. As if any flak Microsoft gets is simply due to the overwhelming abundance of Sony fans on the internet.

Okay, let's go ahead and assume this is true...So what? There are 3 console makers, so unless you expected there to be a 33.3% even split, one is going to have more of a presence than another. Also it's been said countless times that the people who frequent video game forums/sites are usually core gamers. These people are usually more invested in, and knowledgable about gaming than people who don't visit forums or sites. They are the first to know any news about the industry, they are the ones tuned into E3, and they are the ones who wait in line on launch day to buy a new console. Casuals don't care enough to visit gaming forums/sites.

Now, if we go by the established "Core gamers are the ones on the internet" belief, then do you think it's a coincidence that there are more Sony fans than Microsoft fans on the internet? Could it perhaps be that a majority of core gamers actually favor Sony over Microsoft *gasp!*. And and and and that perhaps the reason you feel there are more Microsoft fans in real life versus the internet is because there are actually more casual gamers than core gamers in real life?

Since gamers on forums/sites = core gamers, and Sony fans rule the internet apparently...then...m-most core gamers are SONY FANS?!

*Mind blooooowwwn*

Seriously, are Microsoft fans admitting that the majority of the Microsoft fanbase is full of casuals? This isn't a hate thread, I'm just tired of seeing people say the internet is ruled by Sony fans. I'm tired of hearing that all the hate and negativeity the X1 recieved has been from Sony fans. It hasn't been. Nobody knows which fanbase has the largest presence on the internet, but if Sony genuinely does have the largest presence, maybe there is a reason for that.

You haven't been on the site long enough if you think this.

The majority of Microsoft fans will not care.  It's pretty obvious to see what fans bash the X1 ... just look at Youtube for example (it's probably the craziest there).  I'm looking into both the X1 & PS4 this gen.

Everyone needs to play Lost Odyssey! Any opposition to this and I will have to just say, "If it's a fight you want, you got it!"

Oh that reminds me! Sony fans are kinda arrogant as well ;)

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

Again I just went by the roster size in the team threads we have here. Plus i've heard it mentioned around this site as well that there are slightly more Nintendo fans. Not a whole lot more though. I think it's a bit much to say that Sony fans alone are bashing the X1. There are a whole LOT of Microsoft fans bashing it too, isn't there a thread dedicated to just that (Microsoft fans who don't like the X1)? There are videos out there like Angry Joes who is a known 360 fan who is absolutely livid about the X1.

Angry Joe is a YouTuber trying to pull more views with "what's in", unfortunately, bashing MS and the X1 is it.

The PC he uses to upload the videos is always online.... He's either what I said or an idiot.

To be fair, the X1 stuff is a general PR nightmare from MS so that's bound to escalate on core gaming sites. When even Kotaku (who are relatively pro-Xbox) is making negative Xbox "articles" (or blog posts or whatever you want to call them), you know that MS have screwed up their PR somewhere down the line.

I suspect after E3 a lot of these threads will be forgotten, especially if MS manage to show a decent amount of those 15 exclusives.

Or just a man giving his honest opinion :p

That too is a possibility but given his life being in the lime-light I doubt it. If he cared so much about DRM or used games he wouldn't game on a PC full stop. As I said on another thread, I remember popping in games into a PC nearly 20 years ago and that game being "locked" to that PC.
