Forums - Nintendo Discussion - What if Nintendo does the same thing with Used games?

The strange thing is that I don't think Nintendo has such a big problem with used games.

Cause they don't do price protection and all, all those used games are like at most $5
off.

I wonder if Mario games and the like are collectathons to subliminally brainwash people to collect and not resell.

Maybe, but did they not just claim the ad money from youtube videos of their games? Things to think about.

I enver used my steam account on another computer, but is it possible to play games on my steam account on multiple PCs? Would it be possible to play Xbox live account games on the xbox of another person by logging in?

If so, and you're already gone full digital on PC MASTER RACE :) then would it be an issue? It's blurry for me if anyone can give me some light on this.

You can only login to steam once, but you can set your game up to play them without logging into steam at all (offline mode) and that can last for a long time I believe (never had a problem doing so)

Then we are fucked.

Nintendo wouldn't be so cruel like Microsoft. Microsoft will hurt gamers with their regulations on used games but Nintendo don't hurt people by claiming ad money off of lets play videos. Many lets-player say they do NOT make A LOT of money from their lets plays!

Guess we are talking about the 9th generation, since this one has already started for them and they haven't implemented anything like that.

if it all works fine for MS and people are happy - Nintendo will benefit most of all from it - they are selling many more first party games than the other 2.

Switch!!!

I might stop playing all together...

And about The Nintendo vs. Let's Players, I'm surprised no-one made a thread about this. I always wonder when Nintendo and other companies would start going after them (blimey, Sega made it clear this would happen, but they went on full over the top force). But that's the thing, they only go after Let's Players, mostly the ones that basically showing the games from starting to end with little to no such editing... You can't expect to make money off of that forever, can you??? The thing is Nintendo is not even taking off the videos! When other companies out-right did so!!! O.o
The ones that do more than just editing and commentaries, yes, I can see we are stepping the gray area. Now people like Gaijin Goombah should be in the clear, they actually do alot more than just show, they don't even show the whole game for Pete's sake. They're more for educational purposes. So Nintendo, don't you dare take their money, I can see that's fair use/derivative work!

And what's so fishy about this, is that not just Nintendo is doing this but others gaming companies are going after them as well, it's just the Nintendo Let's Players are the ones that are vocal about, I didn't see any other fans from other companies crying about it! If you have, then by all means, show them to me!

And proud member of the Mega Mario Movement!

Not going to happen.

I'd be pissed.

I only buy new anyway, so I'll still buy the WiiU for its exclusives, but everything else would be PC only.

Nintendo would never do that. As long as it helps sell consoles, they're happy.
