Sounds very believable.

This line-up should do well for Nintendo fans on the fence about WiiU but I have little faith in WiiFitU or Wii Party U to bring the casuals back (not with the gamepad at any rate). 2D Mario is much more casual friendly than 3D Mario and it did little to help WiiU so I'm not counting on 3D Mario to move casuals. Let's hope I'm wrong about all that. Mario Kart being pushed back until 2014 would be unfortunate (rather see Wii Party or Fit pushed back) as it would likely be WiiU's biggest sales driver.

IF NoA brings Fatal Frame and the new X(eno) game over, those along with Smash Bros, FE x SMT and a new Endless Ocean, and new Metroid might convince me to get a WiiU. The gamepad would actually work brilliantly for FF and EO but if I have to hold it up to act as a visor in Metroid (or otherwise take my eyes off the main screen) I will be awfully pissed. Optional Wiimote controls PLEASE.

I'd be indifferent, but if I'm to believe this rumor, the touchscreen will be mainly used for ship-related features. Probably expanding on the rather limited role in Prime 3... very believeable if we take the Nintendo Land mini-game into account.

What if the planet(s) is/are so big that you actually can explore them with your spaceship? With secret caves and stuff *_*

That might be an interesting change. The Prime series didn't have many huge open areas, but in some locations, I can imagine remotely controlling the gunship in order to scout out (and maybe do things) in areas I myself can't land at or otherwise reach.

No word on a Mario Strikers? Hope we get a Wii U version of the series.... And please, Advance Wars 3D

I'm about to cheat on my Vita, I might just wait till pokemon comes out. I'll probably cheap out on a cheap standard 3DS, I think they look better than the XL anyways.

I have a Vita, a Fire Emblem 3DS and a Pokemon 3DS XL.  You're going to want to get the XL.  The screens are sooo much nicer.

"Nintendo’s launch window has been modified, and titles that should have been released this Christmas will move to 2014" There was a change in plans recently.

That is the one line I cringe at.

They need big games this holiday to help push consumers from picking up other consoles. They need the same 3rd party content (except EA) and some great first party or other exclusives to make that upgrading consumer want to push off the MSony purchase to another year.

Why? I thought the glut of games supposedly planned for the holidays from the TOP SECRET MEMO (DO NOT SHOW TO ANYONE; NO GIRLS ALLOWED!!!) thing was ridiculous. Mario, Wind Waker, U Fit Bro?, etc., is plenty. What I don't want to see is another drought like the first six months of the Wii U's life. Pace that shit!

"it will be Nintendo’s big bet for the year along with Smash Bros. It’s a shooting game, from an already known IP. In this game, you will be able to scan scenery with the Wii U Gamepad and use the Wii U Gamepad Touch Screen to control your spaceship. The game is looking really good graphically–one of the most advanced graphics you’re going to see on Wii U."

Star fox will be Retro's big IP. Metroid can't be "something we've all been waiting for".

There wont be WiiU in 2014.

Currently the only Nintendo first party games schedule Oct to Dec is ZeldaWWHD. That's why.

The NEED the Mario game and MarioKart game. They won't create demand with the many multiplats and SEGA exclusives. Its just not going to happen.

The Yoshi game is fine to be pushed out as it won't sell consoles. So its a good Q12014 game.
Then 2014 can have the other games like X, Smash, Retro Game, and so forth.

makes sense

june) game and wario
july) wii party U
August) pikmin3
September) wonderful 101
October) zelda WW
November) WiiU fit
December) mario
