Wonderful. For people saying Japan is irrelevant your blowin smoke. Japan will be the reason why PS3 beats outsells the 360 in the end and the reason MS will never have the top spot. The amount of more consoles they would have to sell in other regions to make up for what they aren't selling in Japan is nearly impossible to do consistently and thats without the competition.

You mean the 1.7 million or whatever the 360 has sold in Japan? I kind of think that would be pretty easy to make up in the US or Europe.

I suggest you read his post correctly. Then edit your post accordingly.

I read it correctly.

IDK what some people are denying, but Japan looks pretty important to me. Might as well say the UK isn't important to the 360, Wii or PS3 as they failed to crack 10mil there

Japan's population is double the UK and for home consoles you're talking 23.6 million sold in Japan and 23.5 in the UK. Soon enough even with double the population, Japan will be behind the UK. Furthermore we're saying Japan is not important to MS. They have 1.6 million sold there all generation. In the UK they have almost 9 million. How is that relateable at all?

Plus, home console sales in Japan have been down 2 generations in a row. A small percentage from generation five to six, but so far in generation seven, the drop is over 21%. And there's no evidence it won't be even worse next gen. I don't think VGChartz has UK numbers going back that far but I doubt you can say the same about that market.

Japan is already irrelevant for MS and soon enough it will be for Sony as well.

I didn't give a factual number. "1.7 or whatever". Please edit your post accordingly.

1.7 or whatever is a bit far from the 10million mark which you should have mentioned as your approximate, so my point is still valid.

Your mistake is in assuming they need to make up 10 million in Japanese sales. I understand that's what the competition sells, but they are not the competition. And that number will be even less next gen as Japan continues to shrink as a home console market.

Your "point" is just numbers semantics.

Xbox had fantastic japanese developer support. If Lost Odyssey wasn't a system seller, nothing will be.

Microsoft's only hope in Japan.

Why japan is irrelevant.

Because if you get games to cater to audiences, they will buy it?!

Even if its small numbers, hardcore fans buy the game on whatever console it is on.

U mad bro? I really don't care. Just stating that Japan isn't irrelevant as was said before. I'm sure MS wish it had sold 8 million more consoles in Japan. Just like Sony wish it sold more in America or the UK or even it's home country. Just stating facts is all. No blinders here.

FootballFan - "GT has never been bigger than Halo. Now do a comparison between the two attach ratios and watch GT get stomped by Halo. Reach will sell 5 million more than GT5. Quote me on it."

The japanese would obviously love NFL. Therefore RIP ps4..

Yay!!!
