Rumor:

"Halo Wars, touted as an Xbox 360 exclusive, is also apparently in development for the PC. But that's not all - apparently the game will also feature cross-platform play, a la UNO and Shadowrun, between gamers on the Microsoft console and their PC counterparts," the site reports, citing one of its "friends over at Microsoft."

Microsoft's Response:

"Halo Wars is being developed from the bottom up for the Xbox 360 and its control scheme to ensure that we deliver a groundbreaking console RTS experience. Given that, we have no plans to develop 'Halo Wars' for Windows Vista at this time," Microsoft said."

The game's executive producer, Harter Ryan, was even more blunt about the issue at the Games Convention in Germany last year:

"There will be no PC port," he said at the time.

They said at this time, therefore it is likely a pc version would follow.

People can predict that the game will come out on PC but at this time it's not in development according to Microsoft.

Why have they ever re-developed halo for pc? They usually just port it over.

im looking forward to starcraft 2 much more.

as much respect as I have for Ensemble studios, I'm sure no PC gamer will be sad with Halo Wars being 360 exclusive. There are just too many amazing RTS coming on PC this year.

Even if they did have a PC port, playing between a 360 and PC is crazy. The PC players would have a crazy advantage over the 360 player. You thought the PC had an advantage for FPS games. This would put that to shame, the advantage is just so massive for the PC player while playing RTS games. You would be killed before you knew what happened.
