Do you like it this way, or would prefer for GT series to rearrange its priorities?

Yeap... most GT fans care more about the driving feeling thant he others features... well not get that wrong... I like more Premium and polished cars too but I think they need to prioritize first the GT core that is the driving simulation.

So for me they need to focus in what matter first and after that give us more cosmetics changes...

PS. The 2D tree I really don't care... you can't even notice if they are 2D or 3D while racing... you need to stop the car and look at them... so really low low low priority.

Thank you for your input, It made me understand a bit more about Grand Tursimo. Anyone other GT players/fans that wish to add in?

EDIT: You know what, I just realized I might be highjacking the thread; not my intention. I'm just curious how much enphasis GT players place on standard cars without interiours and graphic detail. There, fix.

Don't care, I like the bumper/hood cam and I'm always first, so I don't see any other car.

Every time I buy ou win a car in GT5 I drive it because every car have a different handling (Standard included)... so I can say that I played with over 300 cars in GT5 for now.

Pretty much own all the cars in GT5 will try each car at least once eventually.  Also own all the cars in Forza 2 (including all the DLC cars except for the Peugot 980).  Would love to own all the cars in Forza 3 but earnig credits is not that easy.  Only miss the most expensive Ferrari in Forza Horizon.

i loved GT3 on PS2 but GT5 was a mess horrible menus boring grinding and not to good online . ive lost faith in this game now

Cars matter when its your car that looks liek shit.

Its a racing game the cars and track better look good, backround you dont even pay attention to that is secondary.

But this standart premuim car thing is a BS, a pathetic embarresing screw job on the fans of the serious.  Sony and PD sould be ashamed to release such a sub par product.  Its sad the game websites and reviewers didnt tear their ass's over this last time.

If all cars cant look good, make less cars simple enough logic aint it.  1000 cars means nothing when half look liek shit.

And this coming from a life long GT fan.

GT is why i buy PS, if GT7 continues with this BS i wont be buying a PS4.

If i have to, it will be XOne and forza for me.

I drive my car while sitting on the hood anyway. No big deal.

Man, I hope you mean in racing sims and not real life.

I made a video:

LIAR! That's the roof, not the hood. Even I do that some times.

Include less cars and make all beter

My thoughts exactly, I'd rather have 100+ highly detailed extremely well simulated cars than some poorer quality models that detract from the game.

I appreciate your opinion, but no thanks to that solution.
GT6 will have a huge number of highly detailed extremely well simulated cars, and then a boatload of other cars. That's fine by me. Extra content doesn't detract from the game to me, it improves it.

I think it's cool that I can race in cars that I actually drive IRL.

Can I disable the inferior cars, if so then it would be fine imo.

It's fine for ten million. Why should they cater to you>?

It's fine, I just will not bother buying the game.  It's their product and if they don't want to cater to my tastes then I'll not buy it.  Why should they cater to your tastes though, what makes you so special that your opinion is "right".  I gave constructive criticism on what I felt would make the game a better experience, if you cant take it that the game isn't perfect to some people you might want to evaluate your own attitude towards others opinions.

Hey, there's a reason why I don't play call of duty. They don't cater to my taste. That's fine. There are lots of other similar games that do. I don't ask CoD to be more like Battlefield, because if I want Battlefield, then I'll play Battlefield. Acti has no reason to cater to me when their game is the best selling in the genre, much like GT is the best selling of its genre.

Less cars but all equally developed is the forza approach. GT fans like GT because it has so many cars. It has the first car I drove. It has my friend's cars, it has the cars they want to buy, and it has the cars they see about in commercials. Much like the gameplay vs graphics debate, sometimes it's ok to have less detail if the tradeoff is valuable to the player.

The consumer has dictated throughout the history of GT (yes, this premium vs standard has been around since the first game, like how much you can tweak, what parts you can buy, etc) that this is what they want. This is their better experience, and this "news" is essentially PD saying "hey guys, we didn't have time to make ALL the cars premium, but we're working on it. We managed to upgrade a huge amount of them, and we're working on making them all premium".

EDIT: Oh and by the way, if you don't want to see inferior cars in races, just do the higher tier races. There are car classes for every course. If you want to race against only premium cars, there is nothing stopping you from only doing those, and you'll only see premium cars there, and it's all the same courses.
