Forums - Microsoft Discussion - How would you rate the Microsoft Conference? Everything you wanted?

5/10. Pretty much only for showing the console though.

Just for everyone who thinks people are reacting poorly when the games heavy conference will be E3, first impressions are important.

Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(

I enjoyed it, obviously I'd have loved it more if it were more games orientated but going in I knew what to expect from MS. I like the name ... surprisingly, the box though 0_o it's bloody huge!

The controller is elongated, dunno if I like, some aspects look great.

On a personal level I'd rate it 6 ish, COD and Sports games don't excite me. But they have huge fanbases and I realise it was important they were there, for a non core gamer viewpoint I give it 9 :P

A very very low 1.5/10.

Microsoft really doesn't give a crap about us. 15 exclusives? Okay where are they? Why didn't they show at least half of them?

Microsoft is trying to pull a Wii and focus on a whole different market.

E3 is two weeks away. They got all the non gaming stuff otu of the way, you are essentially playing into their hands.

People like you will complain and moan that the games were neglected, so that you got nothing to say when E3 comes along.

But Forza 5 leapfrogging GT and the Remedy exclusive should be enough to last 2 weeks? I guess not if your a-hatin.

Microsoft's main plan with the Xone is focusing on casuals. You still haven't answerd my question: Why didn't they show their promised new exclusives at the event? They got 15, so they can keep a couple of them till E3.

Because E3 is meant for games you silly goose. They got all the boring stuff out of the way so you can complain now, eat crow later :)

Again, Forza leapfrogging GT and remedy exclusive are enough new reveals to last a couple weeks.

Leave a couple for E3......why not show a dozen at E3 and really overkill it? Makes more sense

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Two scores.

As an entertainment console: 10/10
As a game console 5/10

It was ok. I was wondering if they'd blow me away, and the competition, with some crazy specs and whatnot. But they didn't. What they did show was pretty much in line with the rumors, and their focus on the TV stuff was a bit too much for me. I just don't care about those features in a console. Heck... I don't care about those features in any tech items.

So, when you isolate the game aspects from what they presented, it was really thin. But I know they're keeping bullets for E3. But that's also something Sony is doing.

Points taken off because as a gamer, their reveal didn't provide me with anything to go "WOW, I need this!", and they barely touched the specs. And I suspect that it's because the console is indeed a little less powerful than the PS4, so a number was wouldn't have made them look good. That was made evident when they mentioned the number of transistors on the chip. 5 Billion is such an impressive number!!! xD

Also, the kinect stuff seems to have improved, but I just can't be bothered with that kind of features. I must be too old school or whatever. But I prefer controlling those things with button presses. I don't really like voice recognition stuff.
That being said, it is mostly due to the fact that this feature is never flawlessly implemented. But maybe Kinect 2.0 can prove me wrong at last.

So for me, as a gamer, I'm rating this reveal with a 6 out of 10. Because barely a single game was shown that wasn't a multi-plat. And the promise that 15 exclusive games are coming during the first year is not enough to make me say "Oh crap! I will buy this!". Quantum Break is the only game for which I'm interested. But I don't know what it's all about because they barely showed anything of it...

So yeah, if you're looking for a really nice cable box, the XBox One is a no-brainer. But if you want to game first and foremost, the jury is still out on whether or not this console will deliver any better than its competitors. I'm sure E3 will change that, but I can't base anything on the assumptions that it may get any better by then. For all we know, Sony may deliver equally or better at that time.

So when isolated, this reveal is a 6 out of 10.

It surpassed my expectations and had everything that I wanted.

9/10

And making an event revealing a videoGAME console is not meant for games? WOW..

Wasn't interested so i didn't watched it and i made the right call since they wasn't anything that interested me from what im hearing.

However now that xbox will use blu ray. All three game manufacturers software will probably be released at the same price. Now that will be interesting to watch.
