Well if you got a warning just for laughing at SMG sales then I don't think that's right (was it an official PM of some kind... is that how warnings are given?)

But still, it is doing way better than Sunshine... I mean fine it is your opinion but it is considerably biased... Sunshine after it's first New Year sales was down to 3-4k... Galaxy is at 16 K at the moment. (or at least 9 K depending on tracker)

I like how the only real diss you've come up with for Galaxy numbers on this board is that it's sold about the same ratio to the Wii as Sunshine has for the 'Cube, even though Sunshine has had 5 years and Galaxy has had 2 months.

And do you want to know why we don't put PS2 on the home page?  For your information, we already know who won the last generation.  We're interested in this one.  For the record, I'm guessing you wouldn't care about the PS2 numbers if PS3 was winning, am I right?

CrazzyMan, you have to understand the difference between a free, person-to-person conversation and an internet forum. When you are directly speaking to someone, you can say whatever you like ( FREE WILL as you put it ) as long as you don't insult the other person(s).

In a forum though, there have to be certain rules to keep things under control; just imagine for a second that all forum rules are lifted, mods are sacked and everyone is free to post anything he or she ( looking at GBallzack ) liked. Complete chaos and mess. That's where the rules - and their enforcers - come into play.

It's like playing football or basketball without fouls, offsides, lines, refferees , etc. True, mods are far from perfect, but the do what they can possible to maintain the order in this site. If you have a problem with any of them, report it to ioi.

Also, this entire thread is about you bitching about this site being swarmed by Ninty fans, yet the thing that bugged you was a ( from point of view ) mod judgement call. Doesn't add up actually...

@BornFirst, what 5 mln.? in Japan? You probably need GLASSES. It sold even less then 900k. With 5 mln. Wii sold.
And i was LoL at Japan SMG numbers. So there is NO cherry picking, DEAL WITH POOR SALES.

Sunshine did 700k with 1,5 mln. GC. SMG barely did 800k with 5 mln. Wii. BETTER???

FIND the difference.

 Look at the lines in Japan.  It's not everyday that a game garners such attention worldwide.  There are a LOT of Smash Bros. fans out there, I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that due to the way the game has been marketed and how old it's target market is now that the game has exponentially grown in fan size since the last games release.  When FF13 comes out I expect to see the same amount of threads and spoilers etc dedicated to that game as long as Square is able to try and convince it's old time fans like myself to be at least interested in the game.  

Nintendo's dangled a carrot in front of it's fans and pulled back on the rod a few times which got the fans even more excited.

^^I can agree with that; I found those words a bit disturbing when I read the topic. No matter, though, if you think something is not right ( especially something about a mod ) you should PM ioi.

And on the sales front, you are obviously wrong. You claim that SMS sold 700k in 1,5m GameCubes which is wrong; you are looking at SMS lifetime sales, thus ~5m GCs. And SMG is far from stop selling, it will easily surpass 1m.

Do you actually think that as install base increases software sales increase accordingly? FFXII with a ~110m PS2s sold less than FFX with half the userbase.

I don't see a problem with Crazzyman or Naznaipz's post. This site is just way to sensitive at times.

And 900k in japan is not good? Get a clue, this thread seriously sucks. This is just to discredit a quality franchise that your console of choice does not have, its funny you are mentioning mario but nothing on the PS3 that has not done that great but hey thats just you right? If its not under the playstation brand you are not interested, and it must be crap, wow IGNORANT!!!! Nothings more.
