Oh yeah. Labyrinth should be included for me too.
And would Dark City be considered a cult film?

Plan Nine From Outer Space
Robot Monster
both Ed Wood sci-fi flicks, there oh-so bad, but at the same time incredibly fun to watch
King of Kong a fistful of quarters, the donkey kong high score documentary, recent movie, but I'm certain it will only be a matter of time before it is considered a cult classic.

ZenfoldorVGI said: Cult films? The Prophecy The Big Lebowski The 5th Element Pulp Fiction Evil Dead Labryinth Really, 5th element and Pulp Fiction are too "mainstream" to be considered cult, but I just can't leave them off the list. Also, anime films like Akira, GitS, and Spirited Away should be on there too, but my list would be too long. |
Pulp Fiction and 5th element started out as Cult cults films, and through that made their way into the mainstream. It happens, there is tons of examples of this. I had to say Office Space would be another one that has become more Mainstream as well (Since they play that movie every couple of months on Comedy Central)
By the way, i also gotta say i agree with the Fountain and Eternal Sunshine, 2 other favorite movies of mine that i watch regularly.
my favorite are -
Army of Darkness
Donnie Darko
Fight Club
Boondock Saints
That Was Left-Handed

Both movies starred Bruce Willis, one of the biggest stars of the 90s. That doesn't make sense. Fifth Element was directed by Luc Besson, fresh off La Femme Nikita and The Professional (Leon and Nikita for you Euros) fame while Tarantino was fresh off his mini-hit, Reservoir Dogs.
Both movies also had a good-sized budget a cast of well-known actors.
