Forums - Nintendo - I think that the Wonderful 101's release date pretty much confirms that GTA5 won't be seen on WiiU, or at least not at the same time.

Releases Sept 15th in NA, 2 days before release of GTA5. Well the Europe one is releasing earlier (wonder why all these games are lolz.) 

But I think that pretty much rules out GTA 5 getting ported anytime soon. I wonder how much this game will sell....or will the platinum curse hit again?

they can. but it would be stupid to go head to head with GTA. it would basically kill the game. a rather recent example is bulletstorm on the PS3. released the same day as KZ3. go look at how bad bulletstorm sales were. so imagine going up against GTA instead of killzone?

@OP honestly, that release date is bad with or without GTA releasing on WiiU.  GTA will simply kill it. sad because the W101 does seem like a really fun game

yeah, but GTA is just a beast. its like any game in the world going up to CoD. only a big game like skyrim or halo would manage not to get effected much. 

its a niche yes, but then attention of most people would be on GTA. this will just get burried in the media attention towards GTA

i think the games are to different to compete with each other. either way that's a nice cover, is it the official one?

But a small title going by the name "Rayman Legends" will be doing exactly the same thing. So it's possible, and as you say, the release is poor regardless of whether the Wii U gets the game.

Killzone Mercenary's release date got moved back forward a week because it clashed with GTA 5.

Using OP's logic, this is a sign we may be getting GTA 5 on Vita?

im not saying this isnt possible, it is. im saying its rather dumb. i mean we are talking about the game that is said that it might cause trouble for next gen consoles because its releasing soon to their release on the old gen consoles. why wouldnt a new, niche game that has no following yet, to not have trouble?
