3D Mario .... hook it to my veins. I hope they let you download the demos at home for people who already have the system, but I'm guessing Nintendo is going to get some kind of favorable deal with Best Buy (store shelf or promotional stuff) for doing this as I have to imagine Best Buy is quite happy with having people forced into their store to try out the demos. Oh well.

I understand it's a good choice for people who don't own a Wii U and want to try out the future games.

I want to play the new Sonic game, it doesn't make much sense to try games I already know I'd buy but I definitely need to make a decision on Sonic so I wantz to play that.

Sure it does, as you can't be 100% certain that you'll like a game or not until you've played it. I thought Paper Mario Sticker Star would be amazingness after hearing it was turn based again. How wrong I was. Biggest waste of $40 I ever spent. =[

Also, that's probably another reason why they didn't bother setting up eShop demos, as most people who have a Wii U already are likely going to buy their games anyway. Better to use their resources on bringing in new customers, like me!

What? IMPOSSIBLE!!! How can you like such a sorry excuse for an RPG game that even encourages you not to play it?

So I payed $40 for funny writing, great... The battle system coulda been the greatest in the universe, but that wouldn't change how there's no point in fighting enemies other than bosses, and that's only because you have to fight them to move the "story" along. There's just so much wrong with this game that I plan to rant about it in a separate thread at some point so brace yourselves for that hehe.

It's definitely very casual, but there is always Fire Emblem for the headaches.

Casual/Easy =/= Pointless

Fire Emblem =/= Paper Mario

RAWR!

But enough about Paper Mario. We have BIG news to discuss here! Imo Nintendo has already won E3 with this unprecedented announcement! Like I said, the besy way to advertise a product is to have them sell themselves by letting people try it out. This is certainly going to encourage me to get a Wii U sooner rather than later, and for others it should get them thinking about owning a Wii U in the first place. Plus the people themselves will advertise the product via word of mouth, which in this day n age really means twitter, facebook, youtube, and so ons hehe. Idk about everyone else but I'm official aboard the hype train! :D

Plus the fact that they didn't tell us which games are gonna be playable already likely means that there are yet to be shown games on the list, and SSB4 has yet to be shown! ^_^

Not quite the same treatment NA is getting as that's one location versus over one hundred, and these locations are places people already go regularly. Plus, there's no presentation or anything, you can just walk in anytime and play the games. Basically this is much much larger than anything that's ever been done like this past. Hopefully they continue this year after year and bring it to other countrys, and Sony n Microsoft will do similarly, so that E3 truely is for the people! :D

Yeah, i`m pretty sure there will be some surprises! I`m sure of that!

I mentioned that example in relation to having demos in PAL mode and that was soon after E3, i believe.
It could really set a trend. Yet, it will depend on the plans of MS and Sony: do they really want to show demos that might not show how the final game will be?
Next year we will see if it will become a thing or not.

MS/Sony aswell as Nintendo already do that regularly at E3, so there's no real difference other than the number of people that get to play, which'll be much much higher, and that can only be a good thing. Plus it's not like they'll allow a massively buggy demo to be displayed.

Even if MS/Sony doesn't follow suit the following year, Nintendo can still keep expanding their E3 for the people thing year after year, making it bigger and bigger. Eventually, MS/Sony will have no choice but to do the same otherwise they'll be majorly overshadowed.
