EA has confirmed to Eurogamer that FIFA 14 will not release on Wii U. In a statement, EA Sports said it took the decision after poor sales of the Wii U version of FIFA 13. "Ten months ago FIFA 13 was a launch title on Wii U," an EA spokesperson told Eurogamer. "Although the game featured FIFA's award-winning HD gameplay and innovative new ways to play, the commercial results were disappointing. We have decided not to develop FIFA 14 on Wii U."

It's been rumoured, but it's still somewhat surprising.

I have Fifa 12.5 so not really that bothered, only need one football game for my system and that will do me for the rest of the WiiU's console life

Wasn't ea not making any games for wii u anyways.

Poor Nintendo, oh well I guess Nintendo is going to have to rely on themselves to make games for their console. (As they do pretty much every generation)

Apparently they've had the WiiU since July. Anyway, I don't care if FIFA comes or not, but if EA's intentions aren't clear now I don't know when they are. 'Unprecedented support' they say.

10 months ago?  The Wii U relased just 6 months ago.

And no, FIFA 13 on Wii U was not FIFA 13.  It was FIFA 12 with a few tweaks and gamers protested by not purchasing it.

There were no such thing as FIFA 13 on WiiU
