I posted the exact quote. And it goes as follows.

"We have entered into a worldwide partnership with Sega on the Sonic Franchise."

What this partnership entails wasn't given, but it was obvious it wasn't just for one game. And if you look at Nintendo's last partnership for a title Nintendo is developing the title along with the developer. (FE X SMT, Atlas and Information Systems are developing the title.) So it a safe bet to say that Nintendo is lending a helping hand with the title.

It's 4:12-to-4:30 on the video here.

Thanks for the quote. This indeed does support what I've been saying. If the entire Sonic franchise was Nintendo exclusive from now on they would have announced it as such.

Blizzard entered a partnership with Sony on Diablo III...just sayin'

lol, reminds me of the utter disappointment I felt when I was watching the ps4 conference. All of a sudden blizzard name appeared then I thought, it would be some new game and got excited. Then the dude announces diablo 3 xD It was almost as bad as please be excited.

It's a three game deal.

Did sega make any good games for home consoles this gen excluding all the sonic's?

Yakuza.

Like I said, Nintendo didn't "win" Sega though. It's only Sonic, and even then it's likely a deal for making a few Sonic games that doesn't stop them from making other Sonic games.

Who is developing Bayonetta?

Sonic is Sega.....

Platinum Games is bayonetta.

Arent exclusives: Riders. The game came out at the same time on both, wich was before the PS2 died out. Remember the PS3 was late to launch?

Arent Sonic, but Sonic & Mario: Olympics.

Sonic exclusives: Still 3!

Game developed by SEGA with Sonic in the title exclusive to Nintendo platforms that was published by SEGA over most of the World.

No matter how much you try move the goalpost, its a Sonic game. Its exclusive. It was developed and published by SEGA.

You're trying to force something that isnt the case. The Mario & Sonic olympic games were published by Nintendo in Japan. They are not part of the Sonic franchise. They are a brand new Franchise. You cant just add Mario to the game and say its still a Sonic game. That is ridiculous. But at least we know where your inflated number came from.

Are you ignoring what Im writing to you on purpose? Im not talking about the Sonic franchise, Im talking about Sonic games. Videogames... With Sonic in them. Also...

"published by SEGA over MOST OF THE WORLD" ... "MOST". Most is a key word.

It doesnt matter if its a new franchise neither. Its a game developed by SEGA with Sonic in the title. Sonic is a title character. Sonic is one of many characters in the game. Sonic is a selling point. SEGA developed a game with Sonic as a selling point. This game was exclusive to Nintendo platforms.

Is it really that hard to accept? They could have done "Sackboy and Sonic at the Olympic Games!" or "Banjo and Sonic at the Olympic Games!". They didnt. They chose Nintendo. They chose to develop a game with Sonic exclusively for Nintendo.

Sega owns the Bayonetta ip, Platinum are the developers.

Good for Nintendo to be able to broadcast some positive sounding news. Really, though, this mostly comes across as a business as usual kind of thing. It's a lot less meaningful than it sounds, unless you're one of the rare people who loves Sonic but doesn't game on a Nintendo system.

Still, the thread title is kind of strange, as this in no way makes up for losing games from other developers, since Nintendo would have gotten those Sonic games regardless.

I like EA games, I can't say the same thing about Sega.

I take SEGA over EA anytime... =)

It seems WiiU will have some amazing holidays! And it's not E3 yet!!!

I join the @teamsega over @teamea... Haha!

Why is this a fail for EA? Is the average IQ level of the VGC users dropping fats?
