Forums - Sony - Official Sony PS4 site update confirms PS Vita remote play of all PS4 games

I wonder if this would work via Internet too. I mean if not there would be ways to tell your vita it ks in the same network, but connects via lte. Damn thing they did no 4g vita. So tethering lte and connecting via port forwarding and dyndns to your ps4 COULD work.

must-have-list for platforms i don't own yet:

WiiU: Donkey Kong

XBone: Dead Rising 3, Ryse

SCNR!

I am curious to see if this will ever push some Vita-sales.

I think it should work wherever you have a fast enough connection. The PS4 is just sending a 960x544 res video stream (that's really not that much in this day and age) to the Vita and the Vita is sending back the inputs, so a nice fast path enabled internet connection should be about as viable as a direct wlan connection between the two devices (some input lag might be added).

@ OP)

I'm pretty sure somebody stated in an interview, that all PS4 games that don't rely on move  should be able to support remote play without any work by the devs.

But when your system is selling less than 20k a month, or less than your predecessor manages in Europe in a week, is it really going to be a huge, attractive feature for the masses? It's good, and something I may look into. But I wouldn't run out, get a Vita (£200), PS4 (£400) and a game (£50) at the same time, so it's only a useful feature if you already own the Vita.

Still interesting to see it in practice, though.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

It would be nice, but they should really focus in new games for Vita. This is just another good reason to own a Vita, not a selling point in its own right as many of you have pointed out

I agree, unless they do a nicly priced bundle, people who buy the ps4 will simply be interested in the ps4.

It might help long term sales though, when people are looking for a new thing to buy?

YESSSSSSSS!!! I bought one Vita yesterday!!!

well, why not? if it can stream one ps4 game it should be the same with the other as well, only the lag (if there is one we could recognize) would be something why i wouldn't play online multiplayer with it but the rest should be fine.

i think they will sell ps4+vita bundles for a lower price as if you would buy both seperate and those bundles will increase the vita sales very niceley. maybe available from day one of the ps4 release, some even have to buy this bundle then when the single ps4 consoles are all sold out and i'm sure those bundles would also sell out then.

i would be probably interested in such a bundle.

Yes, this would make it the better WiiU.
