Has Nvidia really completely ignored the entire portable market? How the fuck do they think the'll sell this thing?

Vita.
1) Has premier name attached.
2) Has premier first party support.
3) Is priced at $200.
4) Has premier hardware and build quality.
5) SELLS LIKE SHIT AND CAN'T COMPETE WITH THE 3DS.

Yet, Nvidia with no name in gaming, no first party, uncertain build quality and general aesthetics with a price that is in the range of home console... actually expects this to sell?

Can we say doomed yet? I know its not a Nintendo product, but really, can we do this before it launches?

While I know no-one here likely planned on buying this.. I did expect someone to share my ridicule towards Nvidia.

Doom was in the air before the Vita launch as well from a good few sites and Conegamer here.

Shield will be just another meaningless enthusiast device like Razer Blade, Wikipad (this one doesn't even look desirable), Steamboxes (here there is a chance of succeding, depending on Valve's push and how much sacrifices they are willing to take)

In my opinion, just another Vita. Perhaps even worse. The thing won't sell much with that price. Technically nice but nothing else.

If 350€ wouldn't already be able to buy me a 3DS with at least 5 games I just miiiiight have thought about thinking of buying this game.

Well i don't think Nvidia actually cares too much about this. They probably selling the device at a decent profit.

I mean tegra 4 is cheapish and the actual unit itself is nothing spectacular. Decent but nothing mindblowing.

So yeah i don't think complete domination was ever the plan for this device...

This is gonna flop. Its greatest feature, streaming pc games can only be done with a powerful pc so outside your house it plays nothing but phone games. Even ouya may outsell it lol.
