Not sure if it's love but Big Boss and Boss have the most interesting and emotional relationship for me in all of gaming. I just loved the dynamic and figuring out SPOILERS that she was good and just the guilt Big Boss must have felt. Even in MGS4 you feel the emotional weight of his actions and that event really dictates the story of a lot of the series and his guilt ultimately makes him the villain because of the anger he has towards her, the government, and everyone else afterwards.
