I am eating a packet of chicken salt, advice you do the same. From mynintendo news

With E3 fast approaching it’s about time we had some juicy rumours. These rumours stem from an IGN member by the name of 100 Year Old Gamer. The forum user claims to work at Nintendo, though these claims have yet to be verified. However, it should be noted that he or she has previously written things that have turned out to be true. Here’s some of the information 100 Year Old Gamer has provided. Take it with a grain of salt.

  • Nintendo will air three to five Nintendo Directs before and around E3, starting on May 30
  • 3D Mario will be “huge, bigger than any Mario game to date” and looks “unlike anything you’ve ever seen”
  • Retro’s new game will be first person, futuristic, and something everyone wants them to do
  • When asked if “a certain Super Saiyan” would join Smash Bros (since Namco is involved), he said it “hasn’t been decided yet, but there is a chance”

I'd buy a Wii U for that ^^

This thread has genuinely upset me. I am not upset with any of you. After all what would be the point, but you don't see what is really going on here. Your expectations for Nintendo have been reset to damn near rock bottom. These things aren't rumor worthy, or even hype worthy. These are things you should expect as a given, and things that you should expect much more out of.

The systems flagship title should be a massive leap over the previous installment. Show me a flagship title that isn't. Chats taking place inside the bubble, aren't going to create the market awareness that the product quite desperately needs. Given the current state of the library, the severe lack of third parties, and in game engine support. Mean you should be thrilled with whatever Retro has to offer.

Speaking as someone who has owned every Nintendo platform prior to the generation. Except for the Virtual Boy, and I doubt any of you will hold that against me. This is the absolute worst platform by far. As far as expectations of Nintendo are actually concerned. Guys start to stand up for yourselves. Don't just expect more from Nintendo. Start to demand more from them. It is time some of you start to get mad.

I would lambaste both Microsoft or Sony if the bar was getting set this low, or they behaved this badly. I don't blame any of you. After all you have to find something to talk about, but damn this is pissing me off. Fans and gamers alike should have ambitions. Beyond just matching low end expectations.

I have been lambasting Nintendo. I am mad and pissed off.

My expectations are low because with the exception of the superb Skyward Sword Nintendo have utterly failed to live up to their own pedigree on the home console front for over two years now.

We get two years of nothing for the Wii, a Wii U launch lineup of old ports and mediocre exclusives, the immediate onset of a new software drought, rampant delays, fuck-all concrete to look forward to, and no indication that Nintendo has any clue what we as gamers want. I planned to buy a Wii U by now. I haven't because it's offerings are so piss poor.

I have officially lost faith in Nintendo.

I love them to bits, but I can't excuse the way they're behaving. I hope I'll be eating these words in a few months, but I'm not confident.

I rather hope against a new Metroid Prime. Retro would do great on a new IP, and Metroid could do great branching off in new directions (something closer to, say, that Shadow Complex game)

How dare you say such a thing about Metroid Prime!!

This is a full and new gen so they could work on a new ip after they release Metroid Prime 4.. If they do

Honestly, Metroid is at its best when it's a sidescroller

NINTENDO

nintendo forever . . .

There are more rumors in that thread.
About he`s credibility, he did hint at a Zelda and Mario at the last ND. Even hinting at that "paper" zelda technique.

Even thought I think the WiiU has had a lack lustre beginning, there is a part of me that is intrigued by what a new Mario will be like on the system. The Retro game will be Starfox

A first person Star Fox game? No chance. Star Fox is a 3rd person series, not a 1st person one.
