leo-j 99.999% of the time when the rest of the world disagrees with me, the world is wrong so I wouldn't read that much into these early reactions. most people lack the fundamental ability to project into the future and interpret and integrate multiple data streams.

well then.

Would you care to tell me how MS just rendered Playstation obsolete when playstation is first and foremost designed for games, and MS didn't show anything that would hamper that?

Wow! nice thread very informative. I wish I could understand stocks more though.
It looks like it's fun to buy and sell. ^^

GameStop count here right? I saw no thread regarding what happened to GameStop stock after the Xbox One reveal and used game chat.

It dropped 11% on Friday alone - Friday was the day where the used game policies started popping up.

Unlike the ignorant links to the Sony price change, this link on the posibilities for Xbox One and PS4 used game treatment is valid.

PS4? The rumors regarding PS4 used game DRM came Yesterday didnt they? Would have had no impact on GameStop stock.

Will be interesting to see how further it may fall though after the weekends rumors.

the ps4 rumurs have been there all along too. forum dwellers just give them the benifit of the doubt and assume ms will go the worst way with it.

I assume you have links of stories regarding said rumors? Id like to read up on them, because as far as Im aware the only stuff we have heard since the PS4 reveal was Geoff Keighley the other night.

Everything else has been speculation, hasnt it?

same as with ms. its all been speculation

Sony patent suggests PS4 may not run used video games

In February people still had questions

http://www.gamespot.com/news/sony-on-ps4-used-games-we-are-going-to-do-the-right-thing-6404470

"Denny did not provide a simple yes or no answer, but said Sony will do right by developers and consumers alike."

"Oh, and by the way, Sony faced similar questions when it teased the PlayStation 4 in February. While Sony, too, claimed it would allow for used games, it remains unclear what caveats might be attached to the use of those games. Since Sony's event was much more of a teaser, the company wasn't grilled as aggressively as Microsoft has been. I suspect Sony will encounter tougher questions at the PS4's true unveiling at E3 in a couple of weeks, especially if it doesn't fully explain what the company has in store for used games."

Both companies have been vague about what support used games will have. both have said they will play used games, but not detailed any other possible requirements. Both simply have not said what their plans are.

Well, like I said. We havent had anything new on PS4 used games/ DRM since reveal, back in February.

All that you just said was around PS4 reveal. What new news has there been this week to impact GS Stock? Did GS stock even get impacted around PS4 conference?

There was also "confirmation" about the patent not being used on PS4, though Im not sure how credible that can be.

Yea I know. I was just saying that both MS and Sony currently haven't revealed theier used games policies yet, and both sides of it is speculation. I have no idea about whats effecting the stock price, I was merely commenting on MS and Sony's used game stance and the rumurs around both.

Tagging, I didn't know it existed... Hopefully it keeps going. I've always wanted to get into the stock-market as a part time hobby. Have a spare few thousand in the bank too...
