Don't joke about that.. we all know that those 15 bucks from an iOS game goes directly to adding a new zipper or belt for someone in the Versus XIII cast..

Because it would cost them money to publish it. If it wasn't for Nintendo footing the publishing I doubt Bravely Default whould of ever made it out of Japan. With mobile they can throw together a game from assets and scripts they already have and submit it to the digital store and charge $15 a pop for the game and $.99+ for pieces of the game they took off to extend the game's value (for themselves).

so, less investments per game as for playstation 2, gamecube and xbox? they may also call themselve indie developer then lol.

They should have improved the way they develop games ages ago.. FF XIII took forever, Versus is taking forever and is a huge moneysink. I mean, even the HD remakes of FFX and X-2 is taking forever. Its so sad that it have come to this, i hope that they can get some new creative people into the company that knows what they're doing and can bring in some fresh ideas.

I don't think that means they'll spend less on HD titles by not making more or putting money into them, but rather by cutting down the long ass development times (hence turnover). So to avoid this make the development cycle faster to avoid another Versus XIII.

Stop making FF 13 sequels and people will buy.

Except it's not.  Nomura explicitely stated that Kingdom Hearts 3 won't begin development until Final Fantasy Vs 13 gets finished up...

Doesn't it though?  Especially considering all "HD" games have been delayed by two years because of Final Fantasy 14.  I don't really believe that Square has the resources for a game of that scale, especially with Final Fantasy VS and Final Fantasy 15 being in development.
