Pathetic or not PS3 will end the best selling console this generation...

This generation will likely end this November, can't see PS3 catching Wii by then. Passing the winner after the finish line isn't winning.

If the PS3 manages to catch up to the Wii that's awesome. Regardless of which company one prefers, a gaming console selling over 100Mil units is a great success. We will be in the best times of the next gen by then, so it is not as if anyone but fanboys would think this makes the PS3 superior^^

Do you seriously believe the PS3 will sell over 20 million units while all 3 next gen consoles are out? you gotta remember the Wii will continue to sell like crazy during the holiday season too.

people think just because the wii stopped selling, the gen is over? this gen continues until all 3 consoles are no longer in production! even last gen is still going with PS2. somewhere in the world people are still buying PS2's just like people will be buying PS3's and 360's for years to come. the wii never had enough steam and broke down and nintendo are being punished for it. i hope both PS3 and 360 pass the wii cause both consoles deserve to.  PS3 and 360 have done alot for this gen, what has wii done and what is wii u doing now for the industry?

Somehow i doubt it when Nintendo forecast 2million for the next financial year. Hell Even PS2 could have Outshipped Wii last year. 

Sony forecast 10million PS3 shipments by comparison. So will be 80.4million -PS2 shipments + 10million by April 2014 probably 87million and Wii 102million.

Anyways the Gen is over and its not like the PS3 is guaranteed to reach 103 million where the Wii pretty much already sits and its not like we know where the PS3 sits now since Sony has something to hide. Thanks ethomaz for proving yet again you don't know what you are talking about. It is 99m according to my prediction by March 2017. Count it again.

If anyone is being punished its the company that has a chance to sell 100m plats and will still lose money lol. What exactly have PS3 and 360 done for this gen, except shrink it? PS2 has sold more than both combined lol. Add Wii to either one and that easily beats PS2's figures. In other words, thanks Wii for growing this gen lol.

Wii sits at 103m already? Huh...

At least I see a gradual change in attitudes the longer PS3 keeps selling high numbers. Before it was always "no chance" and now it's "not guaranteed". We see how long Sony support the PS2, and they will support the PS3 just as long to keep it selling in developing countries so PS3 will outsell Wii first and PS1 second, but it won't get much beyond that.

Can you read? Selling high numbers lol, we are arguing whether it will be where the Wii is now in 3 years lol. It sold in 10 years what the Wii sold in like 6. My what high numbers lol. Also I still believe it has no chance, I mentioned guaranteed because the Wii is guaranteed it while PS3 isn't even guaranteed 100m.
