Fire Emblem is picking up steam very fast on Amazon aswell.

Looks like FF7R will have a similar trajectory to the previous mainline FF release: Preorders starting way before release, hopping up high and then waiting for 150 days to get any further movements.

That would still give it almost 100 days until release, which is an awful lot.

Fire Emblem continues to hold off Persona 5. But for how much longer?

Didn't help FF XV however, since it only reached 470 points total: http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=8171243

50 days before launch, it was at 275: http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=159902&page=752

100 days before release, 227 points: http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=8033902

For the record, FF XV started in March, about 200 days before release

This post and comparison says it all, really: http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=7991332

Long story short, having 100 days to rise doesn't necessarily equate with high amounts of points

400+ points is a high amount of points. That would be more than Yokai Watch 4, Mario Maker 2, and Fire Emblem 3 Houses combined.

But compared to the 2200+ points of FF XIII, FF XV did miserable, and is a very low bar for a FF game. Only Lightning Returns did slightly worse as far as I can remember.

If you've been asleep during various points of this thread it has already been established a number of times how COMG's presence has diminished and has had many store closings in recent years

You're going to want to move comparisons to the past 5 years or so if you want any semblance of rationality in your comparison.

Speaking of which, how was FE Fates looking around this point in time?

166 points, but keep in mind that it did with the same  "1 game for the price of 2" tactic like the Pokemon games, which inflates the numbers a bit (and the special edition cost more than simply buying both separately). I guess that if it was just one game, it would have been somewhere in the 100-120 points region. That's still quite a bit more than 3 Houses, though, I agree on that. But nowhere near the collapse between FF XIII and FF XV. And you can't attribute such a big decline just to the closure of COMGet shops or the fact that people just preoprder less these days.

And just to be complete, Fates ended it's run with 272 points and 336 points in the weekly ranking, with 322k sales FW

While I'm sure 3 Houses won't beat Fates (at least not at release), I do expect it to be closer than one could expect from it's points right now.
