Splatoon 2's final total was 941. Smash is 300 points out. With 14 days until release, that's 13 days of preorders, and 23 points per day to reach that goal. Seems doable at Smash's current rate of acceleration. Smash 3DS had 1090 on release day. That's 34.5 points per day. A bit less doable, but if it continues to accelerate at such a great pace and closes or reverses the gap, it could happen. I'll believe it when I see it, Ultimate burned me for too long. Someone mentioned Ultimate beating both versions of Smash 4. If they meant both versions combined, that's 56 points per day. Don't count on it.
