Thats funny, my cousin and i first got introduced to DMC  by my uncle when we were like 8 and he was in his early 20s still living with my grandma.

He introduced us to alot of games/movies that we probably shouldnt have been exposed to so young lol

Those uncles lul

He also bought me Ghost Recon, a lot of 18+ years games But i'm so glad he did cause thank him i played some of my favourite games.

But DMC in particular remain in my heart, because even my sister loved that game. Our usual day was:

  • Wake up
  • Go to school
  • Back home and lunch
  • Right after lunch, 3/4 hours of PS2
  • Dinner
  • Get out with our friends
  • Go back to home at aroudn 22:00 PM and go to bed at 23:00 MP
Those were good days :')

Yeah, I was skeptical that it would outsell Tri when it was first announced with the poor first trailer.

It'll be interesting to see if it will outsell XX (combined 3DS + Switch.) I think it has a decent chance of outselling just the 3DS version, but might end up being very close to 3DS + Switch at the end of it all.

It might depend on how much the rule of thumb from the OP holds true for this game.

"In general, we can extrapolate 1 point = 1k pre-orders in the whole of Japan. Do note that this is a very rough equivalence as several trends and factors (such as the platform, the franchise , the publisher, the time of year, etc.) can influence the numbers. Experience as shown that COMG! stores tend to be often skewed towards Sony titles. That means Sony games usually end up with >1 point = 1k pre-orders. On the other hand, Nintendo titles are rather <1 point = 1k pre-orders."

It also has a chance to more then double the pre orders of Dq11. Personally I think it will have a worse ratio but I think it will launch higher both retail and digital and have better legs. Dq11 is looking like 1.6m lifetime so mhw definitely has a shot at 2m.

I guess it's because the MH customer base stopped grieving about having to buy a home console and instead moved on since those platforms offered higher craftsmanship to give an advantage or an incentive compared to previous games ...

It would be quite insane if MHW would get a solid ratio. I kinda doubt it, but hope dies last.

Good day for Secret of Mana and Dynasty Warriors 9 and as always a great day for Monster Hunter!

Great to see Playstation dominating the chart!
