that makes no sense, how can COMG be "wrong" at anything? they just list how many customer preorders they get at their stores

and if you interpret that data with the knowledge you have you can make fair estimates of possible 1st week performance

my personal observations are these:

Otaku games - usually 500-800:1 ratio

larger niche games - usually 800-1200:1 ratio

big western games - usually 1100-1500:1 ratio

jpn mainstream games with very little Otaku appeal - usually 1700-2000++:1 ratio
