As expected, so pre-orders must be open now, although I don't how well to go off Amazon for Japan. I still don't think it's gonna be able to do 1.7 to 1.8 million in it's first week in Japan which could cause a major decline in the franchise if western sales don't improve by a substancial amount.

I can already officially confirm to you World will sell well below previous entries in Japan. That's planned as such. It's also planned to end up being the highest selling Monster Hunter game worldwide which is what Capcom is hoping for.

Finally! I think 1 million first week in Japan will be great considering it is a home console title, and hopefully it will appear on comg soon.

We'll see I guess. I expect the percentage share to be more equally split across Japan and the West which is what Capcom wants like it's other titles, but only because the Japanese sales will be much lower in compariosn. Like how it's other titles are as well which could then mean over all lower sales also like their other titles.
I don't see Monster Hunter World selling over 5 million worldwide though even if it is multiplatform. I also have a feeling the expanded re-release versions won't be as well recieved in the west to same degree as they are in Japan, which had sales of Monster Hunter 4/4 Ultimate at almost 8 million. Of which 6 million sales came from Japan alone, although Capcom have yet to sell two versions of the same base Monster Hunter game in the west since Tri.

tbh i hope for more sales, dragon quest did 1 mil first week, but with a 3ds version alongside, monster hunter is exclusive to ps4 (in japan), so i hope for more sales

I don't think it'll do 1m FW. I'm expecting over that lifetime, but MH isn't that popular anymore.
