Sun&Moon had 527 points at 97 days left.

As I was suspecting. At the moment DQXI pre-orders don't look huge as one should expect from a main entry of this brand.

I can see SE delaying the game.

Wow i didnt expect that big of a difference so far (from pokemon) but it could still be too early to say.

That said i was thinking the same way as you with dq11, a chance of being delayed. Itll have a huge first week, much bigger than splat2 but splat2 imo will be in the spotlight especially during august.

It might be best to delay dq11 to sept. Splat2 is taking lives (sales) in japan :p

Guys, don't worry lol, do you realize how much time passed between the announcement of Sun/Moon and the 97th day from release compared to the time passed from the announcement of the release date of DQ XI and today ? DQ has been available for preorder for a few weeks, Pokémon Sun/Moon were announced in Febbruary so by the time of the 97th day from release they had been available for preorder for MONTHS...

2 problems with this is one pokemon was announced in feb but pre orders didnt open up to much much later. So its timeframe is similar to that of dq11.

Second as much as dq is doing very Well, it didnt explode like MH/Pokemon at least on comg (in terms of first week points)

Imagine the sales of the Switch in Japan if it manages to get Splatoon, Pokémon, Animal Crossing, Yokai Watch, Dragon Quest and Monster Hunter all on one system! With those franchises it could do just as good if not better than 3DS numbers! Plus tie in franchises like Mario, Zelda, Fire Emblem etc.

No, it can't have opened so late, I recall reports for record-breaking preorders (especially in Europe) in July when Pokémon GO released, and they weren't 100% caused by Pokémon GO meaning that the game was available for preorder even before Pokémon GO released...

Japan isnt the west. Thats your mistake. Japan pre orders open up when retailers/companies allow them too. For example switch was available for pre order in the west following day after full reveal. In japan it was a week after.

Also regarding japan, sun/moon pre orders werent record breaking. That was just the west

In japan pre-orders opened 125 days before the release.

Dragon quest 110 days before (but comg was already accepting pre-orders before). Just two weeks of difference.

3DS definitely aging, and PS4 being a weak console for physical sales. I have been surprised the PS4 version is doing as well as it has, I expected mediocre hype until the last few days like with FFXV.

Damn this thread is redirectioning two pages behind where the actual posts are!

I've been having the same problem. Is there any way of fixing it?
