Yeah comg is irrelevant now for P5 but next week we'll find out what sort of boost FFXV gets when all those people go into pick up P5 and many of them will be first time ps4 buyers with the slim too.

Yes atlus and so could square enix will gain more sales from this, but to say COMG Comparison are pretty meaningless is an overstatement. Other intillegent users have carried this sentitment like BraLod earlier this week. 

If you need evidence, look at new3ds, and how it did not really slow down monster hunter, pokemon, or smash bros, because at the end of the day you can still preorder both.

Ya no doubt, that was given for awhile, since the ratios of the ps2 vs late ps3/ps4 era. 

I think the new PS4 bundle is gonna get a big impact in Persona sales... Bundle is limited so as usual legs will suck, but is gonna have a very nice first week.

Weekly sales of PS4 have been really low since everyone was anticipating the new cheaper PS4 and then there was the shortages also. Now what do you think will happen when Sony just announced this new cheaper PS4 with Persona 5 bundle? The bent up demand will cause the bundle to sell like crazy and that will increase the sales of Persona 5 tremendously...do you still follow? Now the sales ratio of Persona 5 is going to be something totally different than if this bundle had not happened and thus the COMG comparison is not valid anymore for Persona 5. Or do you think you can find some value from comparing Persona 5 against what...8 year old data of Persona 4 and draw some conclusions from that? Do you understand the circumstances need to be similar for the COMG comparison to work.

Your example of using new3ds as evidence shows you do not think logically at all. Take a look at the numbers, what was 3ds install base before new3ds and compare it to PS4 install base before this new cheaper PS4 model. The circumstances are completely different.

You know you can do this every game just about that comparisons are not fair, if you even read my other posts in this thread, that ratios from ps2 era are different the ones right now. We factor stuff like this in this thread, if you actually follow the thread, but no you rather go about saying it is meaningless. 

You also know that about everyone estimates this to do better than persona 4 did on launch, based on COMG of a month ago right? See my post to Dr. Vita for example this morning. 

Here is the thing, comparisons still happen, because guess what, you can still take into factors into equations when comparing, otherwise this thread would be completely useless and we would have zero discussion on games. Guess what games get kickass bundles all the time, we still compare games.

Just shows you. A lot of ps4 buyers will be getting the console then on the day a lot will pick up P5 without having pre ordered it. Obviously this applies to comg and the game won't hit the points total it could have. But the ratio will be better.
